good article, but enkie wheels cost the same if not less in some cases then xxr rims, so i dont know how fake xxr rims really are.

I just had a HORRIBLE experience with purchasing XXR. Not sure if the supplier is to blame or the wheel company itself but ef going with suspect wheel companies and suppliers. I'm only paying for wheels I see with my own eyes, before I buy. You know... you do as much research as one can do, you give your hard earned dollar, and you still get burned.
edit: Sorry don't mean to thread jack. Very clear explination between the two. I just didn't know XXR to be a knock off. They don't metion what they replicate. I thought you had to claim that they are replicas to avoid being sued by the original wheel manufacturer. I looked at them as a target brand wheel versus a gucci brand.
2 sets, went up a curb 2 times with my old set nothing happened.

I'm satisfied, and the bank isn't broken.

(I have this article posted on there)
This is why I keep factory rims on my car, they are better and I can replace them for dirt cheap.
Anynone else notice Greg didn't spell article right? 0.o

Enkei makes wheels for racing and oem wheels for car manufacturers. Enkeis are the most affordable wheels backed by a reputable company and as you said the priced the same or less than xxrs and people still gravitate towards garbage like xxrs, drags, etc.

Here's the cycle I see when people make excuses of not being able to afford a nice set of wheels from works, volks, ssrs, etc. They paint their oem wheels in a garbage color, later on they buy garbage replica wheels, then they finally wise up and end up getting volks, works, and ssrs anyways. So why not just save up and wait and get the real thing?!

I rocked my oem wheels for 5 years before I got new wheels. Damn young people now a days have no patience and give two shits about building a quality car with quality parts. They always go for the cheapest and fastest way to get that "hellaflush" look or whatever look that is trending at the moment...my goodness no wonder I'm so annoyed when I go to these hellaflush shows because the shows are all diluted by all these people with horrible cars thrown together.
Could you guys maybe give off a list of good solid wheels, I plan on getting wheels for my birthday, I though I was going to get xxrs but my opinion has very much been changed I just don't really know the wheel industry out there from much more than xxrs or tenzos. Just want a list of some clean wheels you guys think are good.
