- Hey everyone sorry if this forum ain't where its suppose to be but I am currently a new owner of a Scion tc. I notice the coolant reservoir didn't have any coolant in it same thing when I took off the radiator cap. I have already bought coolant from AutoZone and made sure to tell them it was for a scion tc 07' .its PEAK i believe redish in color. The bottle says "Scion 2004 and up. Cost me 21.37$ out the door. I believe this is the best one to buy based off my research any ideas? I also need help on how to properly flush to radiator system before I add new coolant.any help is great. Much love guys.
yes my idea is to return that autozone stuff.. Go to the dealer and get the Toyota coolant. It's actually less than what you paid at autozone (if you ask the dealer for a good price). It's called super long life coolant (SLLC) or "the pink coolant".
There is no procedure from Toyota about flushing the coolant system, it's a drain/fill situation. Plus there is a bleeder valve on the driver's side of the radiator to help bleed the system while you're filling up the radiator.
That's my 2cents.. The toyota stuff is about the best out there, at a lower price, no need to guess.
