Good day to all. I have an interesting issue. First I will tell you what I have done. Replaced all fan relays in the fuse panel. Also replaced the integrated relay. The dealer has taken all the gas out and recharged the unit. Now I will tell you what it does. Fan #2 does not come on and the compressor does not start. After a delay ( no set time ) the #2 fan will start and the compressor will engage and cold air is restored. The there will be a time no fan starts and no compressor engagement ( I do believe they are tied together electrically ). I also replaced the on/off temp selector switch in the dash board. The dealer wants $2300 bucks for a complete a/c replacement. Any ideas out there? I really hate to spend that amount of money on a compressor that still works.

The dealer is a moron. They are just throwing parts at it and replacing the entire system would of course fix the problem, but that's insane. I wouldn't go back to that dealer.

the first thing to check is the high/low pressures of the compressor. I know that if there is something wrong the compressor will not start. check that first..
