I had the Dealer Installed a bunch of Options prior to Delivery:
LoJack Recovery System, Scion Security Alarm System, Alloy Wheel Locks, Fog Lights,
TRD Front Strut Bar, Interior Light Kit (Blue), Premium BeSpoke Pioneer Audio w/ aHa & Navigation

I want to say this is more a Mod thread than a Build thread. I not going to show you How to Add Coil Overs, S/C,Turbo, Lights, do Brakes, Rotors. There are plenty of those threads here and on YouTube. I will use Professionals to do some work. Money is not an issue. Some will not agree with my Mods or Look I am trying to achieve. That’s OK, that is what Modding and Individual Style is all about. I have to keep in mind my 2015 Daily Driver is still Under Warranty so I’m not going too crazy or wild with my Mods. My Goal is to Personalize my Ride to my Taste and to distinguish my RS9 from other RS9s.

Also the RS9 Included a lot of Mods I wanted. Some I will keep. Some I will change.

A List and Description of Release Series 9.0 (RS9) Features are located here:

1st Mod was a trip to Imperial Works to get Paint Protection Film (PPF). I did research and found XPEL
Ultimate to bet the Best Film because it has a full 10-year warranty against yellowing, discoloration, peeling, cracking and hazing.

If it fails, They’ll replace it—labor included.

It is also Self-healing against scratches.

Plus it will take rock hits against my black hood, fenders & front end.

2nd Mod I did was I went to Rocky Mountain Tint to get:

FormulaOne High Performace Auto Tint, Pinnacle Series.
It has a Lifetime Warranty against discoloration, fading and workmanship.

5% Limo Tint on Back 3, 50% Tint on Front 2, 5% Limo Tint 4” Visor Strip.
And XPEL Headlight Protection Film: will withstand 1” stone hit @120 mph.

And provides UV protection against foggy headlights.

A Perfect Tint Job! One Entire Single piece of film Precision Cut by CAD machine.
No bubbles, blisters, or creases. Lifetime Warranty.

Lesser shops would normally use 2 pieces of film overlapping then cut at the Edges and Defroster lines.
If they are not careful, they can cut your Defroster Wires!

Stay Tuned, more Mods to come.

I wanted Superior protection for my Interior than what was offered at the Dealer or in Auto Stores.
So I went with WeatherTech Front and Rear Floor mats, & Cargo mats. Also their Side Window Deflectors. I like the WeatherTech mats because of their High Sides to catch any spilled liquids and protection against the Elements such as Rain, Slush, & Snow. Plus they are Laser Measured for a Perfect Fit unlike those Universal Mats you find in stores or on eBay.
Also I love their Side Window Deflectors because they are Smoke providing a extra bit of Sun Protection. And the fact I can crack the window during the Rain when it becomes stuffy.

I added a Suede Mat by DashMat Dash Covers. I really like how the Suede Mat conforms to my dash.
It feels really soft and supple and is a whole lot better than the hard plastic in the tC. I plan to hold my RS9 forever and this will protect the dash against UV rays that can cause cracks in your dash.

My next Mods are dear to me. I have been a Batman fan since I was a kid. So I went with Batman Seat Covers, Front and Rear, Batman Floor Mats, Batman Shoulder Belt Protectors, and Batman Wheel Center Caps. Debadge Scion logos and Added Batman logos Front and Rear for my LUV MOBILE / BATMOBILE / GIANTS MOBILE

I have used Radar Detectors for years. Some Good. Some Bad. I’m rockin’ the Escort Passport Max2. They are Pricey, but I want Nothing but, the Best for my LUV MOBILE. It was Rated #1 in among The Top 10: The Best Radar Detectors of 2016 | Top Ten Reviews http://radar-detectors-review.toptenreviews.com/

I'm in Cali. We have the most Registered vehicles, therefore the most cops. And cops are thick as flies out here. In the Real World, I recently drove down to L.A. in my high profile tC and it Alerted me like crazy but, no cops around. Finally 2 miles down the road I came across the CHP giving some unlucky motorist a ticket! R/Ds are not bullet-proof. They can have their Radar turn off until they spot you. They are sneaky. So it is a cat and mouse game.
So far in 1 year, I have driven 10,000 miles in a high profile car w/o a ticket.
Radar Detectors are legal in all States but, VA and D.C. They are also illegal for Commercial Truck Drivers. I suggest you check into the: Escort REDLiNE, the Beltronics STi Magnum, the Bel STiR Plus and the Passport 9500ci. These are Stealth Radar Detectors. IOW, they are invisible to police radar. They are what some truck drivers and peeps that frequent the VA and D.C. area are using.

I want to Upgrade my Brakes to Slotted or Cross-Drilled Rotors and wanted to go with Premium Brakes. Brakes, IMHO is not where I would cut corners and go for the least expensive set.
So I went with the TRD Big Brake Kit. Also it does not Void my Warranty.

The TRD BBK is only Available for the Front Axle Only. The reason being that on FWD cars it provides anywhere from 70-80% of the Stopping Power vs the Rear Brakes. Unless you use your car on the track, it is not necessary to have a full set of Slotted or Drilled Rotors for a Daily Driver. But, I wanted to Balance the Look with the Front Brakes. So, I bought a set of MGP Caliper Covers (Red) for my Rear Brakes from CARiD. It took less than 90 seconds to install each cover after removing the wheel.

They are made of Aerospace Aluminum and are Power-Coated Red. They help reduce the Brake Dust. Looks more Cleaner and easier to install than just painting the calipers. Also Match the Red color of the Fronts.

I know of people that spend less money than what the TRD BBK costs and save money on their rotors and just paint their calipers. There is nothing wrong with that. You get what you pay for. But, this is the way I Rock my LUV MOBILE and I like my Look.

Off Topic: True Story. I once Spotted on a Hearse Bumper Sticker that read: "If you Drive like Crazy You'll End up in My Ride" Re-created below:

Have a Great Weekend! Stay Safe and Don't Drive like Crazy.

lol at the herse bumper sticker! lol.. Looks great, I do like those weathertech floormats. First time I've seen one in a tC! Looks nice and deep. I might get those for the winter. I have the all weather 2 in 1 mats on my tC 1st gen, toyota stopped making them because of that gas pedal issue, not that any of us had that issue. But the weathertechs look like a worthy upgrade!

I like how you've done the batmobile.. cool. and that max2 detector, glad that's working out for you! I've heard over on the rdforum that a lot of max2's weren't tuned correctly and had to be sent back to escort for repair. Couldn't even pick up a traffic radar sign (your speed is...) when sitting next to it! lol.. So I'm glad you got a good one!
    • Apr 23, 2016 5:26:43 pm
Yeah, I love those WeatherTech mats with the high ridges. We probably don't have the rough winters like the North or Mid-West but, it does rain in Cali. Those mats came in handy this winter when I took my nephews up to Boreal Ski Resort near Lake Tahoe. A lot of snow and slush.

I haven't had any problems with my Max2. It has great range and detection. Far Superior to the old Whistler and Cobra R/D I used to own. I bought the 3-yr Extended Warranty. It has a self-learning capability against false alerts. The old R/Ds a garage door signal would set them off. With a subscription, you can download the latest updates. It tells you where all the traffic speed radars and red light radars before you approach them. With the Escort LIVE! option if you have a smartphone it will allow you to 'tag' a new radar trap just put up. Or if you spot a cop. It Uploads to the database and let all up fellow users know. I did that recently when I spotted a motorcycle cop hiding along the frontage road. FTW!

yeah I could use some of those high ridges since they don't have those on the toyota 2-in-1 rubber mats! I had to shampoo the carpet from salt on my shoes! I think I'll get some weather techs for my tc, for next winter!

oh yeah escort live, did you also know that escort was bought out by a venture (or is it vulture? lol) group named cedar something, i forget the whole name. But Escort under their ownership has officially merged with Cobra! yup, they're moving the escort hq from ohio to chicago! Just wow..

EAB did a Masterful Job of Welding the Holes, Grinding, Sanding, Prepping, Priming, Painting, Clear Coat & Finishing.

    Smooth as Glass FTW

    • Apr 30, 2016 9:18:54 pm
Wow now that's a GOOD body shop!!! I was looking at the pics then thought "what about the holes??!" And there it was in the next picture! That's some really nice painting!! I gotta find (not to hijack the thread) a good body shop for the civic (wheel well rusting), been finding a lot of dishonest places out there! But back to your wing, looks really nice, matches california, unique! I really like that California license plate! The ones michigan have are scary ugly! Except that one with the green and blue it's ok.. they're forcing us over here to get rid of plates at 10 years, even if they are readable and no corrosion! so stupid..

but back to you car.. looks great!

That is not an ordinary body shop. I talk to several others and was disappointed that they couldn’t do the work I wanted. Many are just Order & Replace Shops. I found the right Custom Body Shop when I noticed they do Specialty work on BMW, Porches, Mercedes, Lexus, & others. I used Yelp. This is a *5 Star Award Winning Shop. Just the weekend before, the Shop’s Lotus won “Best in Show” and the Shop’s Owner Miata won “Best Race Car” at a local car show. Once I found the right shop, I gave them carte blanche to find the biggest meanest Wing they could put on my car. Prior I took off my panel and found there are 6 holes for my RS9 spoiler and knew that a Big Wing will not match the holes. That’s why I had to go to a Custom shop.
The Standard CA plates are very plain looking. Red CA Script, 7 Blue random # & Ltrs on a Wht reflective plate. You can order a ELP (Environmental License Plate) aka Personalize/Vanity plate at extra charge. It's $50 fee & and a Renewal fee $40. But, that is on the plain plate. If you want a Specialty Plate like my CA Memorial Plate that’s extra, $90 and a $70 Renewal fee. So I am paying the State a Double fee to get my Name on a Specialty Plate. The Memorial plate has the words: “We will Never Forget!” on the bottom unfortunately covered up by my license plate frame. I am a military veteran and that means a lot to me.

yeah I think that patriot plate is the best one they have! Looks good too!

That's awesome about you finding the RIGHT body shop. That's what I have to find is an actual custom body shop for the civic. You're right, a lot of these places are just parts replacers! That's why the one place wanted to replace the ENTIRE QUARTER PANEL! instead of just doing some sheet metal work. Yeah that might require some talent! Glad you found a good shop! Maybe I will be looking to see what shops do work like the place you went to.
    • May 02, 2016 9:25:47 pm
Man I sure do wish VA would allow radar detectors. Car is really looking sharp bud!

What I did was used YELP. Look up Yelp Reviews in your city or closest big town/city.
I Type in Custom Body Shops and look at all the Top Rated Reviews and pictures.

The nice thing is they are rated by their customers or people who used their services.
That way you can weed out the bad shops.
