Someone said replacement keys would be pretty expensive...Would they be cheaper to get online or direct from Japan?Anyone know? Thanx

Seen people paying around $250 for the replacement... Not sure if you can get it online anywere, I think the immobilizer chip ID from the key needs to be entered in the ECU somehow. Might require some dealer equipment, but there is a chance it-s just some sort of woodoo-like manipulation with the keys, doors and keyless entry buttons.

Sounds like another way for the dealerships to bend you over! It can-t cost that much to make the keys so why charge so much!

From what i was told there also so expensive cause they have certain chips that are made into the key for security reasons.
