So I am new here. I'm looking into buying a 2013 model scion Tc. I currently own a 96 prelude non vtec. I love the 2013 Tc model. My friend has an automatic and I love it. If I got a Tc it would be manual. I'd love some input from any others who have owned or driven both a prelude and a Tc on how they compare handling wise and which you preferred. I know they weigh about the same but how does the Tc handle in the corners? Does the car respond well to bolt ons like the newer civic motors do? If any of you know prelude motors then you know it's hard to suck out much power with just bolt ons. Lastly, is VVT-I only on 5th gear? Someone told me that and I feel like it's not true... Anyways if anyone here has driven both a lude and a Tc please tell me pros n cons between the two. Thanks a bunch also if this is in the wrong section I apologize.

Well i can asure you that the tc has amasing handling out of the box, not even in rain im afraid to take a good corner at a reaonanle speed, vvt-i on 5th? Dude it works like v-tech by rpms, i think it starts at 4000 to 5000 or even lower than that. As for power from bolt ons, not much, it responds well but not as you espect, and the downside no flash tunes. Anyways ill take the tc any day.
Yeah wasn't sure on the vvt-i. But thanks for the info. I'm sure it responds better to bolt ons than my prelude lol
