Just wondering if the stock speakers are good quility or if they are crappy cardboard. Im thinking of getting some new speakers just wondering
lotta people change em out but i think they sound good. these stock speakers sound better than any i've heard in previous cars i'v driven.
    ex: chev Malibu/dodge spirit/2003 caravan/2005 galant(rental)/2005 Sebring(rental).
r they cardboard>> or plasitc cones
dont change the speackers cuz i changed the front ones and these speakers are suppose to be better and ther pioneer and so i changed them and they stock one sounds better than the ones i put in so i woundnt change them if i was you but i would get a sub i think thats much better and there plastic not cardboard.
So the stock speakers are acutally pretty decent from what I understand?!?!? They aren't made outta cheep cardboard like other cars?? So its better just to keep them

Sorry someone hasn't answered your question yet.. the fronts are polypropylene, like aftermarket.. the rears are paper, maybe coated paper, but paper.. and I think the tweeters are dome tweeters.. hope that helps you..

the rears probably would be the best to replace, but here's the catch 22.. if you replace the speakers AND keep the factory radio, you're dealing with a radio that was EQ'd and setup for those factory speakers.. that's why it might not sound as good as you think it should.. what some have done is changed the headunit and then the speakers aren't so bad..

best solution is to replace the headunit AND the speakers.. if you want better, that's what you'd have to do..

have you changed your car mode from tC to xA or xB? that can also help..
