hi all! What socket size and shape would I need to take off the oem lug nuts? thanks!
If it is oem, then it should be 21mm. Get a 21mm, 6 point socket.

I can give you some tips on choosing a good wrench. The big advantage of battery wrenches is that they give you freedom of action. You will no longer be tied to an electrical outlet using a rechargeable tool.
That's why I bought just such a model. Nuts or bolts to it, I usually buy on https://www.scrooz.com.au/nuts-and-bolts/ because of the breadth of the range and favorable prices. If the battery equipment does not suit you, I advise pneumatic. Pneumatic wrenches are inexpensive in comparison and are very convenient to use.
