every time i go over a bump there is a clunking sound... anyone know what it might be? ... it is not my sway bar links they are brand new... i put them in myself... any thoughts? thanx!
It's more then likely the suspension.
I would go back over everything you installed and then re check it again (so 3 times).
yea the suspension looks fine.. soo idn when it gets better weather i wanna look better into it all but any more guesses would be cool soo i can check that out... thanx
I know what your saying and feeling, my tC has been doing it since last summer. Once the OEM struts (McPhersons) come out and the Tokico Struts/Eibach Lowering Springs go in, I am hoping the clunking noise stops. If not I will have to see if my end-links are bad and need to be replaced.
i have tein coilovers in my car... soo idn what else is wrong.. i have sum looking to do !!!
i had a similar sound, drivers side rearend. i could really hear it with my windows open but not so much with them closed.

it sounded like a chain clinking. that what your describing? like if you took a big heavy chain and like dropped it on some metal... idk thats the only way i can think to describe it.

i put my racelands on and i think i has gone away. but im not sure because i havent driven much and when i did drive i had my windows closed...
    I too have TEIN Coilovers.

I had a Squeaky Noise etc..I took apart the Entire assenbly..Put engine grease on the metal Top Plate and cleaned everything off.

Re-Installed...Ta-Daa NO more noises at all!..
You said you replaced the sway bar links already right? Did you get the OEM style, or did you get the aftermarket style that are adjustable? If you got the aftermarket ones, then that's most likely the issue and you need to loosen them a bit. They may be too tight and are putting the sway bar too close to the chassis and/or control arm.
yea i got adjustable links.... soo u think it is too tight? i will have to loosen the links and i think i might have the links to far on the sway bar to where it is not giving enough room or tension to move and clunks... if that makes sense?
Yea. You have to be careful with those.
yea... when spring comes and i can get under my car and look .... but its not like its hurting anything its just loud.... but w/e i will figure sumthing out soon i hope!!!
Just be careful b/c if it's too tight, you can actually snap the mount where the endlink sits. I've seen and heard endlinks snap....sounds like a gunshot hitting the frame under a hard corner.
ok i will see what happens....

I have never taken it apart b4... is it hard? is there a DIY on that? it would be great if there was sumthing or sumone that could help me with that.... thanx... please sumone help me!!!
