Let's hope I get more responses than looky loos on here.

K so I was installing CAI yesterday and when putting the throttle body coupler on when I noticed this was hanging from the metal nipple coming off the throttle body, rubber hose slid over metal then the box was just hanging and it looked like it should be attached to something. I don't think toyota just leaves stuff hanging in their cars so I'm assuming the clown I bought it from did the typical half way of doing things and didn't do it right. Oh and if anyone can tell me how to embed images directly into post without uploading thru 3rd party I would appreciate it

Regarding the picture posting, you do have to upload to another site then you can embed them in the post. I fixed the links to just show the pictures themselves instead of the links.

Also, keep it clean, I edited the post to take out the cuss words, $'s don't fool us.

Now to the topic at hand. Since I don't have my tC anymore I can't go look in my engine bay and see anything useful, but I do have some documentation that might be helpful. It'll take a while for me to go through all of it but I'll try to post back later today if I can find anything out.
Thank You, My bad and thank You!

Not throwing any CELs other than from removing cat but I have the Antifouler on the way and this is my first toyota so i don't even have anything to go off of.

can you take a clearer pic of the part number? I can't make it all out, or just post what that number is.

The only thing I know of in the engine bay of the tC1 (1st gen) is the VSV valve, it helps purge the gasoline vapors out of the tank and into the intake tube. But usually it's mounted over by the air filter/cleaner lid. There is a vacuum line connection that goes from the vsv to the throttle body.

plus the correct vsv (Vacuum switching valve) has an electrical connector on it. This thing has nothing as far I can see in the pics..

here's a link to scionlife where someone did take the time to diagram what lines go where on the throttle body..

    https://www.scionlife.com...-help-197974/#post3756354

some vsv's went bad and people bought aftermarket parts which may or may not work well.

again, post up that number that's on that part..
Well I didn't see this before, probably because I wasn't looking for something that had to do with what i was looking at but there's a sticker on the hood of the car that I'm pretty sure maps out the VSV and I think it is that but if there is supposed to be an electrical connection then I'm at a loss

Found this, it's that little black box that runs to the back of the manifold apparently. Dont know what it does though

lol just told ya, it's the vsv valve.. google VSV and you'll see also.. someone messed with that like I was saying earlier. the vacuum line does run to the vsv but the vsv is up by the air cleaner lid. google that under image search and you'll see the location, it's next to a green cap (Test port).
please post up the part number since it's blurred in the pic..
