    2005 scion TC....

I have a tapping sound comming from my engine, i dont hear it much when its just idling but when i excelerate i hear it alot more.. I am pretty sure my valve is sticking or needs to be adjusted. It started when I peeled out, once i heard the noise i checked my oil, for some reason i didnt have much at all, and i usually change it when the light comes on (every 5k miles, and been about 5,500) i had no idea that my oil was soo low, nor not sure why i lost so much oil, but i did a full oil change.

can anyone tell me where to go for instructions on figure out how to check my valve and how to adjust them please, i have looked on the internet and having a hard time finding what i need.

    Thanks
