Low Beam Headlight Issue - Driver Side ONLY

I have a strange issue with my 2007 Scion tC. The low beam headlight on the driver side is not working. Low beam on the passenger side works and high beam works for both sides.

The bulb is not burn out, I’ve installed it into the passenger socket and it lights up just fine. The passenger side bulb does not work in the driver side socket.

I checked the fuses for the headlights (all 4) and they are all good.

The driver side socket is a pig tail, I had to replace the OEM socket many years ago when a bulb melted the OEM socket (long story). But this pig tail had been working fine for several years.

I removed the pig tail to check that it was okay. If I plug the pig tail into the passenger low beam socket, the bulb in the pig tail lights up okay. If I attach the pig tail directly to the battery, the bulb lights up okay as well here.

I checked the voltage at the pig tail (no bulb installed) with a multimeter and I get a reading of 14 volts. When I plug a bulb into the pig tail and check the voltage again with the multimeter, I get 0 volts.

I’m not sure what else I need to check. Any ideas what may be causing this issue?

Let me know if any additional information is needed.

Thanks in advance for any help or advice!
Did you recently replace the bulb or is this out of the blue? Have you checked for corrosion in the pigtail? That is mind boggling it works on one side and not the other. Have you wired anything in recently?
