I was wondering if anyone uses a Weapon R secret weapon intake ? I would like to know if it is as good as I read or if it just plain sucks ?
I don't own Weapon R, but most people will tell you it's nothing special.
I had it for 1 day. It never came with this paste that they don't tell you about. It is supposed to be "oiled" like a K&N filter but instead it's a paste. It bogged my engine down from the start and seemed to drain it's life as I gave it gas.

    HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND IT.
(With a whip and chair)BACK! WEB! BACK I SAY!

The weapon r is alright IF you can get it for 100 to 150$(you figure weapon r would get the message by now) Its easy to install sounds nice and gives you decent gains in the higher rpms and minimum low end loss "IF" you use the "secret weapon secret goop"(24$ shipped if you look hard) like orin said ,it really isnt nothing special though.

most people prefer the Injen which is about the same price(250$ and up)
since you get both CAI and SRI in one purchase.

I'm all about the AEM though since it has the smaller pipe diameter(personal reasons) and the New DRY FLOW filter =P
    HAHAHAHAH......

I ended up getting it for 200 and it never came pre oiled or with the goop. I found out the next day that you have to buy it separately. I just thought, well, maybe the K&N oil would work. Definately not! For that price, I would at least thought they told you that it needed oiling or they sent a small 1 time use can with it. Just didn't like it. Mine was pretty cheaply made too. People have trouble with the filter falling off but I just used muscles to clamp it on . My problem was the vent tube and bracket.

The tube was way too long and even if I were to trim it, the position they put the tapped hole on the pipe (on the outside of the bend pointing to the header) made it too much of an extreme bend and the tube crimped. I had to loop it down and under and back over.

The bracket was kind of cheap too. I have those types of aluminum braces in my garage and expected something a bit more sturdy. The whole intake bounced around a lot.

funny thing is every thing you listed is true...they claim its slightly oiled from the factory BS! cheaply made? o yeah! that vent tube is garbage its made to kink I just used the OEM and tossed theirs away, that bracket lol you should see mine it looks like it went through a meat grinder, as for the bouncing around...its because they give you cheap SOFT RUBBER couplings instead of silicone ones so when they heat up they are very very soft.

i'm sticking with it till the cleaning kit runs out then its trash and hello AEM CAI lol
Pinoy_tC said that he thinks he lost a bit of mpg after putting his AEM in. Why not Injen Mugetsu?
yeah i saw that but to tell you the truth i think he just might be romping on it a little harder since it sounds sweet.

not to concerned with mpg the tc gets dooky mpg anyway, you gotta admit, maybe auto's or if you keep it at 3k you get decent mileage.
I used to use premium and i swear a full tank would last me about 7 days and i drive 40 miles a day highway??!! but i have a medium heavy foot.

the injen is 3inch pipe same as the bottom of the weapon r, I need 2.5 i was considering the fujita but it performed very poorly on the dyno
K&N was a poss too but i'm intrigued by the DRYFLOW filter so i figured
AEM was the way to go.gotta fit a lil some thing between the TB and still fit a CAI, damper and A strut B i'm thinking cusco since DC's too big.
Mine gets great gas mileage though. I get, normally, about 26-27 mpg. I drive on 95 and average about 80 mph about 60-70% of the time. My other time I'm on I-70 heading out to western MD to visit my girl. Same speed. My tank only lasts me about 4-5 days maybe and that's about 340 miles with 1/8 to go.

I use regular 87 b/c 89 and 93 are just a waste. Our engines can't combust them properly so we actually are working harder to create the same amount of hp.
you might have a point there, i went from 93 to 89 just to keep the car used to higher oct, still hoping my NOS set up comes around soon, but i might switch to 87 to see if my mpg's go up. But i must admit i take my
car up to 110 on a daily basis on this frigging half mile ramp to I75
hhahaha, and your car goes........glug glug glug with the gas...
