do you think a wing like the G35 Coupe Areo Wing would look good on our car. I am not sure if this has been at topic, but I was curious.Any ideas?
yes i think so. i think it would look something like if the factory lip spoiler was larger, bigger, and longer. i personally think it would look cool.
i feel the tC-s edges are too round to have a lip spoiler and bigger than 2x the stock tC lip spoiler... a whale fin...like a g35 aero wing may not look as good with its sharp cuts, paired with the roudness of the tC... as you can tell the g35 has cut edges/points in the rear...

true, but still interesting to take a look at it on one.Is their just the factory lip and pedistal spoiler on the market for the tC?
OF course buddy, there is an lip and a pedestal spoiler for sale everywhere... they have Scion Original parts for that.. even your dealer will install it for you...
the lip and pedastal spoiler is not what he is asking for.... please read the forum more clearly...but thank you for trying to help.
Yeah they have the kaminari spoiler which i think is the best one but that shit is expensive!!!
I agree, the Kaminari wing looks good, even without the kit. I also agree that g35 style spoiler is exactly what the tc needs, but IMO the OEM lip and pedestal spoilers are kind of ricy. Even if u could just rip a spoiler off a g35 and glue it to ur tc , it would still look better than the oem ones.
I think that the G35 spoiler would stick out too far off the back of the car and would look a little awkward, but everyone is entitled to their opinions, I-m not going to pick on people for their car-s style.
how is the OEM LIP SPOILER ricy? pleaes xplain...its smaller than the g35...how is it -ricier- by defenition?
Yeah I have the oem rear pedestal spoiler and I doubt that is RICEY! Its not to small and not over exaggerating big its just right as far as size goes. So whats your definition of a ricey spoiler?????
I personally am not a big fan of the pedestal spoiler, just cause that-s not my style; I do like the lip spoiler though. And I don-t see how either could be considered ricey...they-re stock (or as tctuba would say, -stalk-)
How can the OEM lip spoiler be ricey? IMO, that-s one of the simplest lip spoilers I-ve seen. I can barely notice it but when I do, it really complements the rear hatch which looks so flat when viewed from the rear.
Oh no, now everyone who has a spoiler is gonna get pissed because I expressed my opinion. Does it really matter to you what I think. ANyway...To respond, I just think they look a little awkward, very stock looking. Like they had a good idea in mind while designing them, but they just didn-t end up right. THey don-t seem to follow the natural lines and curves of the car. If I had to choose one, i-d choose the lip, but then again, why not just get the kaminari or save your money for something that will look hot ie. aftermarket or custom
TC, how can something -very stock looking- be ricey? i think thats what everyoen is questioning... the Lip Spoiler is a subtle approach to adding a -curve-point- to the car, as to not bore you with the ending rear...THe Pedastel spoiler (wing) may be a bit ricey for you...but i think you slipped up when you said the lip spoiler was ricey...because afterall.it LOOKS stock.
    I SECOND THAT ^^^^
I heard you TRD, but everyone has a little different definition for -rice-. I consider anything that looks cheesy, awkward, cheap, or that just don-t look good--ricey. It doesn-t have to be aftermarket to look ricey. Thats just my opinion, which thank god this is America, I am totally entitled to. I just think that the manufacturers knew that tc owners were going to want spoilers based on the design of the car and the market for the car (tuners, customizers), so they quickly produced the easiest spoilers they could make in order to make them available as soon as possible and to get that $$$!I-m hoping that by waiting and saving my money I-ll get something that will look great, like the kaminari wing or something similar.
TCFuzion, what wing would you have but on the tC if you were incharge of designing the scion? I think the pedestal and lip were really their only choices. When you compare the stock spoilers to the kaminari one, I think the kaminari one is ricey, oh sorry, cheesy or awkward.

I have never listened to something more inteligent than that before By the way.. i have the pedestal spoiler in my car and i like it because is kind of sporty look without loosing the stock feeling....
today i was driving and saw an audi a6. it had a spoiler that was basically a hybrid of the g35 style, but with the tC OEM size, resulting in what we might be looking for. can anyone cross reference this idea for me. i think this would be the perfect lip spoiler.

its something like this. the reason i like it over the OEM one is because it doesnt have that second part of the lip that hangs over the back.
