I want to do a Halogen to HID conversion on my fogs. Is this the same process as regular headlights? Do you think it would be safe?

its safe if you do it right.

that article is DYI conversion to projectors. im not too sure if you are talkng about doing that or adding a HID 9006 kit
    Not headlights....Fog/driving lights
you could get HIDs for your foglights. all you need are ballasts, bulbs, and the wires. good luck, ive seen m3s with that setup and they look crazy

heh my bad... yeah his right just buy the correct size bulb and plug it in the fogs. i would be careful because i dont have a clue how hot HIDs get on fog lights.
    it would look amazing though
Here are some HID driving/fog lights from Hella. http://www.tirerack.com/accessories/hella/micro_de_xenon.jsp
Might look nice mounted in the ducts one the sides of the front bumper.

Don't get those Micro De Xenon Foglights. I got a pair and they sucked. They run for like 600, got a new set on ebay for 280, seemed like a good deal. Once installed they are not that bright. Glare all over the place. Sold them back on ebay, luckly i got 350 for them.. would not recomend them....

I'll post some pictures tomorrow of fog lights and the glare they cause. Then i'll show you some pictures with no glare with OEM projectors...
