I found this on sale on some sites and went to ebay to see if it had hit there also. Here is the new megan cat back system for the tC. Looks like the price shipped is $375 or so. That is below most competitors out there and while some feel the Megan line of product an inferoir product from Korea. I have seen other exhaust from them and they are built as a mid-level entry into the stainless steel exhaust systems. It is built on their drift spec line of mufflers. There is no 2nd cat so it will not pass emmissions inspections. However, it does include a resinator which many of us want in our cat backs to create a lower tone. I have been looking for a cheaper alternative to ZPI or Draxus and this seems to fit the bill, also this does not hang as low as the HKS which was a concern of my for there axleback system. I will have to decide if I will charge or wait for cash to buy it, but I will purchase and test it out for the people unsure of the manufacture and our tone.

So if its a catback, why three pieces? shouldn't there just be a midpipe and the axleback section? Did they "break" the mid pipe for shipping purposes?
Those are the actual pictures. From the way my box cam I would say it is for the shipping purpose.
That looks more like it. does it come with a resonator, as pictured?
They state it does come with a resinator
The only bad part about the exhaust is at the s-pipe/mid-pipe connection starts off at 2.25 and then goes to 2.5. I am looking for something 2.5 s-pipe back since i have both a header and s-pipe.
That is still not an actual photo I check the megan website that is from an AE86. I am trying to get one but may have to wait till mine arrives.

Looks like we need an exhaust test of ZPI, Magnaflow, Megan, DC Sports (new no pictures yet), and any other that has removed the second cat to see the differences, draxus is built with the second cat so it was left out of the list.
i read a couple of reviews off SL forum and its not bad not good kinda review, u do get what u pay for. i downloaded the clip of the tC with megan catback + dc header and some pix. il post it later on.
heres the link to the megan post

buyers beware for the megan catback

    Problem
    1. exhuast tip is too close to the rear bumper.
    2. exhaust pipe rattling

    ie
    ^^Good look
Did you try to heat up and adjust the hangers to get better clearance. That is need on some of the exhaust I have installed to get the best fit. Mine should be shipped today or tomorrow I will try to install on saturday or sunday. I will see what issues can be fixed will a little manipulation. You are save at minimum 100 dollars on the next catback system. I would be ok with a little adjustments required for best fit. I would like to see photos of the whole system if you have them tikiboy.
Shouldn't the tip stick out atleast 1inch?

its not mine, its a pic from SL forum. click the link i posted, ul see what i mean.
Megan Catback with stock header and s-pipe and Injen CAI.

The fix is just getting a longer rear rubber hanger. Some of the SL forum guys did this and fixed both clearance issues. Sounds great IMO
Angle looks liek crap. The tC doesnt look like it can pull off an angled muffler. The only exhaust that seems to look good on the tC is the TRD and the ZPI. Now that I look at the Megan more, what needs to be done is the bottom of the muffler needs to go to the right and pulled down.
Megan Racing is going to fit perfect, there not known for HIGH quality although there not horrible. Its moderate. I happen to like MeganRacing.

The exhaust sounds good, it seems like either the muffler is drowning a little too much or its got leaks somewhere. I can hear that "bees in a can" sound. Is that clip with the silencer in??
That vid is of my car and there are some fitment issues. At first the tip rubbed up against my bumper and you can see in the video where it messed up the bumper. It was an easy fix though. I just used the left over hanger from the stock exhaust and put it on to make it hang lower. Overall I really like this exhaust and it sounds really good. Also people over at the SL forums have noticed that Megan took the exhaust off their site. I'm not sure what's going on, but just a heads up to you guys.
That clip is without the silencer. With the silencer in mine I could hear a lot of rattling, but I'm not sure why. I think it is because the silencer that I got in the exhaust does not fit perfectly in the tip. It has a gap about 1mm-2mm wide between the silencer and the tip.
idk but i still think the magnaflow has the meanest tone i've ever heard on a 4cyl
Installed mine last night. I have no fitment issues. The tone is great and the power added is very nice above 3000rpm ot redline. With get pics and video later.
