    Hey everyone!
So in two weeks or so, I am taking a road trip back up to Portland, OR from Sacramento, CA to attend school. This is about a 9-10 hour drive and because I have no clear bra or paint protection for the front of my car, I am pretty worried about small pebbles and stuff hitting the front of the car. Do you guys think it will be a good idea to use painters tape? Have any of you guys tried this and is it pretty safe on the car's paint?

    Thanks guys!

go for it, a lot of people who drive to the track will do that too. It's safe for the clear coat, since it leaves no residue. That's why painters use it, no residue. Looks funky, but will protect your paint/clearcoat.

and to add.. our paint, in all colors except silver and white are polyurethane paint. so yes it's very strong paint, blue painters tape won't hurt it at all.
Perfect! I'll do just that. Ya, I am definitely gonna get some odd looks on this roadtrip from other drivers but whatever, I really want to keep the car nice for as long as possible. I am also looking into getting a clear bra however that takes money that I do not have.
Just a thought, plastidip would probably work as well.
