    They are actually not supposed to according to OBDII regulations. You should have the gas cap tested, and then they should tell you to drive over the treadmill to the end to get plugged up.

    The sniffer is ONLY on pre-96 (pre-OBDII) vehicles. We just get plugged up off the treadmill and then we leave. Takes about 5 mintues.

    yeah, emissions checks your CEL through the OBDII connection under the dash. If the CEL is not on and your gas cap passes the pressure test, you'll pass. They don't inspect the car....that's inspection.
