According to Jack Hollis, VP of Toyota US, Scion is possibly looking into expanding their line-up with more luxurious models. These newer vehicles would be priced over the $20,000 mark, which isn't typical of the current price range of their models.

Since the average age of Scion buyers are in the mid 30s, this could make sense. Scion would be tailoring to both the younger and older crowd, with different price ranges.

If we wanted to spend over 20k on a a luxury car brand scion would be one of the last companies on anyones mind. Scion is made for the consumers, the consumers want something they can customize and make them personal to them without spending over 20k

If I was going to buy a "luxury" brand, Scion would not even come to mind.

The profile of tires isn't necessarily something that many people try to find on their new vehicles. Low-profile vs regular profile tires is a choice that needs to be made cautiously. The performance of your car could be in the balance. Low-profile tires are expensive and difficult to drive with. Before determining on this choice, you need to know what you are getting yourself into.

Scion is missing their original market. The cars used to be inexpensive. They're still great values, but they're not inexpensive.
We'll see how many people put their money where their mouth is when the Scion drift car is released...
Average age in the Midwest for Scion owners is late 30's-early 40's.
