I am currently working on changing a bunch of database related things on the site right now. We've had some issues with the site hanging due to crawlers and lack of caching our content and multiple connections to db. I plan on reducing some of these issues today and tomorrow.
These changes may speed up the site and will open up more flexibility since the site will be one step closer to being on a single platform (rather than 2 right now).
