For 2009, Scion is hitting the sideways circuit hard with the addition of 2008 Formula DRIFT Champion Tanner Foust to the Scion Racing stable. Foust and his TRD V8-powered Rockstar Energy Drink/AEM/ Scion tC already gave notice to the drifting world by scoring a third-place podium finish in their first competition at the Formula DRIFT Long Beach season opener.
At Road Atlanta - Round 2, Foust joined Scion Racing member Ken Gushi and his turbocharged four-cylinder Scion Racing/RS-R Scion tC in reaching the Top 16 round of competition - proving there is more than one way to skin a cat. The stakes are even higher for Round 3 of Formula DRIFT. Known as the Gauntlet, Wall Township has been infamous for its heavy banked turns and unforgiving transitions.
