I messed up my clutch pedal. I think.

So I installed my Sparco carbon fiber pedals. I removed the factory clutch and brake rubber pedals and put the gas over the factory gas pedal because I couldn't figure out how to take it off. It all looks and works great EXCEPT for the clutch. Now I have to push it ALLLL the way down to start the car. It's not the end of the world but it annoys me since I hardly had to push it down before. Any ideas why?

Haha, you know, I have to push my clutch all the down too, but its always been like that. The fact that you at one point didn't have to do that concerns me more

But how is the shifting when you drive? Do you have to push it all the way when you change gears?

I may not have any idea what Im talking about, but could it be that the Sparco pedals are thicker? So it just seems like it needs to be pushed down more?

That would affect driving though.

No the pedals are much thinner. Shifting is the same, but starting it is sometimes almost impossible. It's a major difference from stock. It's really not a problem just annoying. And when I say ALLL the way down I mean like pushing as hard as I can into the floor board.

Safety start for the ignition....clutch must be completely depressed for the engine to turn over. During driving, you only need to depress the clutch 2-3 inches to disengage and re-engage.

www.sparcousa.com $65.00 You have to drill new holes in the metal to mount them though, only one of the holes match up on each one. Not a big deal took me about 15 minutes to install.

although it has griptape, have you ever driven your car after walking through rain-drenched streets? That would be a concern of mine.

Yea water has no effect that tape grips like a champ.
