Ok, so I wanted to get opinions from a bunch of different people. I am thinking that I will buy a project car for cheap (don't care if it runs/ body damage/ don't matter). I'll keep my TC as my daily driver. So, my question is. What do you all think is the best base car to go with for a complete remodel/tune up, from the ground up? Just want to see what people would pick for their dream tuner car! Thanks guys and ladies!

for cheap? a budget would help us give u a good answer but.. you could get a hatch, cheap 240sx shit an older vw with a vr6 and boost it... options are endless lol

I didn't narrow it for a reason. just wanted to hear people's choice of car.
The only thing i forgot to mention is that it has to be an average car. no Audi R8's or lambo's haha. just a basic tuner car. cuz I was thinking 95' 2 door civic. but then again everyone has civics hooked up. so i wanted different options.

What is the best engine swap for a civic? I heard the B18?? Anyone know?

I'd go Nissan 240 sx with sr20det swap.... Just my opinion... You could easily make 400HP with under $15(K)

240SX or 300ZX cause you can find the bodies cheap. Drop in a LS and go!

You could also do a miata/mx-5 with a turbo, that could also do the trick on a limited budget.

If you plan on Engine Swapping make sure you the motor Barred from the DMV and have the proper paperwork...so u dont get your car taken away.

HAHAH AE86, those cars are too rare, its impossible to find parts for those cars. Might as well go old school supra, the boxy model.

e21 body style bmws..... just like mine.....it has plenty of room under the hood.... you could put a v12 motor from a 7 series in there.....

Old school vdub, 60-70's non super beetle, don't have to worry bout smog, flat fours kick ass, if you really wanna be diff they got kits to throw a subie engine in 'em. Still gotta be one of the most kick ass cars imho. Weighs almost ntohing, pisses ppl off when you beat em. TONS of aftermarket supplies. Just watch out, once you start it is a life long obsession.
