alarms with remote start...which brand?

my boyfriend and i are getting alarms/remote starts installed soon by a friend, and he has several brands to offer. which one would you go with/recommend?

I have always liked python myself. Hey ask your bud if their are anyout there that we can keep the factory key to arm and disarm the alarm so I don't have to use an extra key fob.

Anything by dei (viper and python) generally tends to be good

I have used AutoPage many times and love them. CrimeStopper is another excellent brand.

are auto page alarms just kind of like generic brands? you know how u can get generic brand medication for half the price but works exactly the same? lol

I wouldn't say their a generic brand, their name brands/topshelf. There are so many brands out there for alarms, but not everyone one of them is the same, nor do all of them work as well as others. Some have more/less features and some have LCD display with range up to 1 mile or more. I should have you talk to my buddy Jason Rozelle with Team Imagination In Motion on remote starts/keyless entries and he'll explain it to you better. He also sell these and installs them as well, he has more than 15 yrs experience as a certified installer and retailer.

If you want cheap/generic buy one from wally-world, k-mart, or from a autoparts store shelf. IMO, the no name cheap/generic alarms are garbage, I wouldn't waste my money on those, buy a name brand one like AutoPage, CrimeStopper or Viper.
