We got a Flint Mica Down!!!

    The day that I hoped would never come, came. Yesterday, 4:45pm, my car was involved in an accident. The driver who hit me ran a red light, clipped my rear left side, me and my passenger spun about two times stopping with oncoming traffic zooming right past us. The side curtain air bags deployed, if they didn't my face would have been badly cut and bruised. All I can say about this is "HOLY S***!!!" I saw the car coming from the corner of my eye, last few seconds I sped up, if I didn't i'm sure the accident would have been much worse, i would have gotten t-boned. The twist is that the guy who hit me was a good friend of mine, he got the ticket, and his parents are going to kick his a**. Whats scary is that I was going to call him later during the day to meet up at a PC Cafe for some Counter-Strike or Left 4 Dead. From the looks of it, the frame has shifted, my Progress Sway is most likely bent, the TRD Exhaust *I hope to God isn't damaged, I don't have a receipt for it*, the ingalls brace is bent, its bad. From the looks of it the insurance company may end up filing the car as totaled. Not sure how much I'm supposed to get from this but were looking at this tC in Colorado. http://denver.craigslist.org/cto/1061803240.html
    Were also looking at either an RSX, or a Civic SI. I'll post pictures once I get the pictures... Sigh.. This hurts guys, I took such great care for my car and now that its involved in an accident, I don't feel like putting in any more money into future cars (in mods). I guess my only question is, in regards to the aftermarket parts i've put in, do I have to buy those all over again or will the insurance pay for them?

    :[... Yeah I know but I'm such a nice guy :[.. Plus his mongol buddies would jump me. Lol.. I don't wanna start another Viet vs. Mongol war in colorado again, it was bad a few years back.

    Glad to here everyone is ok.....

    Now screw getting another TC and get an RSX, as long as it's a TYPE S... Much, much better car!!!

    this made me sad when i saw on your facebook status.. i was like wait a min you have got to be kiddin me!! and the pics are scary to look at!!!! im sooo glad everyone is ok but remember like i said go get checked out! dont wait for it to be too late!

    damn dude glad ur ok, first time i seen the side air bags deploy on a accident thread with pics... take it easy and get checked out, ull prob start feeling it soon

    Yeah, scary stuff :[.. I can't go anywhere today, two reason. Dont have a car and two, theres a big blizzard going on right now, I can't see anything out the windows but white. ON the side curtain bags, they are amazing. Even though it was like a punch to the face, it saved me from getting my face smacked against the window!     oh yea i heard from my cuz that CSU had a snow day since its that bad!
    and yea you are luck you had the side airbags!
    and def as soon as you can go get checked out have a friend give you a ride or something..

    I'm so sorry to hear that!! I'm glad you didn't get hurt, and I hope insurance covers everything. That beautiful car!!!

    PS - Yeah, stay away from the Mongolian dude. I lived there for a bit. They're bigger than us!

    I am very sorry about your lost and that you are doing well. What is happening with your car? Will you be able to take parts off of it? Im looking for rear garnishs.

    Again Im glad you are okay and this too is the first time I've seen the side curtain air bags deployed in a tC.

    Umm...yeah. I didn't wanna seem to harsh, but are you gonna sell the parts? The damage doesn't look too bad...are you sure you can't save it?
