    nice camera work.

wait, that si had engine work done, and was still only running high 14s-low 15s? hmmm.. looked pretty quick no doubt.

MD INT raceway, is that Budd's creek. where exactly is that? looks like a fun place to go. i'd like to get in on a day of racing like that....
    • Mar 26, 2007 1:47:24 pm
    wow the si is fast
    • Mar 26, 2007 1:48:00 pm
Well, if motor work only put it at a high 14, that doesn't say much for the Si then. It's harder for us to get into those numbers, but it sounded like I/H/E on that thing and he's just breaking 15s barely. He needs some tires/clutch/suspension too.............looks like he just has the engine work right now.

All the way down RT 3/301........about 20 minutes from the VA line.

yea im not sure where it was at. but MIR is nice (Md internation Raceway. went there for imports vs. domestics. but a civic running that low has sumthin other then exhaust. b/c that damn thing rana 14.7 on that one and it chirps 3rd everytime. i barly get 3rd on a good run.
    • Mar 26, 2007 1:51:25 pm
Well, chirping tires isn't really a show of power as much as a show of bad tires. It does take a bit of power to do so, but stock junk tires can do it. Still, I'd think it would be a nice race on the 6th
    • Mar 26, 2007 1:53:24 pm
shti WEB if u run a 14.7 im gonna runout in front of a truck racing and kill myself unless i run that good too LOL. but i mea still for the tire to make a chirp noise it has to have some grip my tires are getin bawld and they spin with no noise. but idk i think it'l be a good race between me and you.

yeah, it says MIR on the divider if you look close. thats not too far away for me to get too.... lets hit it up!

yea well, with 200whp (at least), you should be pulling closer to mid-low 14s imo. especially if he's had motor work done, and at least an intake and exhaust. with a light car like a si, vtec (high rpm power) and a good driver, you should easily be in the low 14s....

^Yeah, just seems like he needed launch work, and some better tires/clutch.

well he appeared to beat the awd wrx off the offline. which means he must be launching pretty well.

and i would imagine the si clutch is pretty nice, is it not?

maybe he needs to work on his shifting....
    • Mar 26, 2007 2:02:12 pm
I would have to have confirmation on the clutch............we would expect the SS S/C clutch for the Cobalts to be good too, but I know first hand they suck from my friend's.
    • Mar 26, 2007 2:02:45 pm
when i drove the si i didnt like it. the clutch peddle has no tension to it liek our cars have a sticking point to take off that clutch is out or in. no inbetween.

EDIT* when i drove the ss s/c i was in 1st takeing off then shifted into 2nd hard andwas doing like 35mph@5000rpm. car was brand new cna we say slipping clutch

    ^yeah, it's a weak setup.
