What do you guys think about this? I know not everybody agrees that the underbody lighting is cool, but I intalled mine last night and it-s kicking ass! Especially with the flint mica! Yes, I know it-s illegal..blah blah blah...but it-s all personal preference and personalization...right? It-s all for show. I always wanted it and now with my new baby tC, I thought I pamper her. Will be borrowing my sis-s digital camera tonight so I-ll try to get some pics up to see what you guys think.

I-ll have to see it in the pics...I-m somewhat a fan of underglow...I think you picked a good contrast(Flint & Blue)

Hey guys,Finally got some pics! Look in my gallery -Batman-. Borrowed the sister-s camera but not sure how it worked so the photography is a little bad. Oh well..looks good to me and I-m loving my TC! Let me know what you guys think! Just got it lowered so now the underbody light makes it look like my Baby is floating! It-s tight! More pic updates later.

The lighting looks like it just forms a perimeter around the bottom of the car. Like a neon fence on the floor.Maybe because its daylight, but don-t underglow appear to light up everything underneath the car? The lights appear to only glow under some of the car, and not lining the whole side or rear. But that could just be cause its daylight in your pix.Just pray shady folk don-t c u rollin up w/ those on...cuz then your car will get jacked.

That IS the purpose of the lighting. You might be talking about something else, cause this kit i got comes with (2) 4ft light bars for the sides and (2) 3ft light bars for the front and back. And they are intended to light the ground. Kinda give the car a floating look. Like I stated in my initial post, some poeple like it and some don-t. It-s cool IMO, hence I have it! I know it-s illegal but when I am cruisin- in an isolated highway, I-d turn it on and it looks like my car-s a hover craft floating through the freeway! NICE!

My area is cool so far. Hopefully I don-t run into those shady folks! Ass be whooping! Plus, I have a motion sensor with pager alarm so I-d be out there in a heart beat if anyone tries anything. I think my ninja sword would do nicely! muhahahahahahh..muhhahahhahahaha!

only 4 ft on the sides? what kinda kit did u get? i looks ok... but it could be better... i depends on what company and how u installed it

yea im an under glo fan tooo, hey batman how much did u pay for that kit?...i also have a flint mica tC and i was wondering how red underglows would look, any ideas? your girl has a tC too I-m jealous

They are illegal in a lot of states ... Minnesota for one, can-t really speak for others though.

I-m in California. Underglows are illegal here and in most states as Nolte has stated. If you-re not sure...install it, park next to a cop, turn it on, blast your music, and see what he says. HAHAHAHA! I-m kidding! Don-t do that. Even if it is legal where ever you are. Anyways, as for red with flint mica....I can-t picture it to give you any advice. But, I-m installing red onto my girl-s Black Sand Pearl. I-ll post pics once I-m done then you can see. To me, the Black and FLint looks almost the same. So you can picture it then.I paid around $150-160...something like that. And the product is by Street Glow. I got the BlueLine Series though. Shorter tubes on the sides. Gold series offers 51 inches side tubes. But then it costs about a hundred bucks more. To answer your question Sonic_Boom....yes only 4 ft on the sides. I didn-t want to spend too much and it looks like 4 ft is enough. When you install it...the 4 ft tubes comes close to where the jack-point is. I didn-t want the tubes to interfere with anything. But I have to ask... What do you mean -...depends on what company and how you install it-? How many ways can you install an underbody neon tube light kit? And what can make it better? I would like to know your opinion. Not considering of course spending hundreds or thousands of dollars more on other brands/styles/fancy installs....but taking the streetglow blueline series kit I have and how I installed them....What would you do different that would make it better? Please let me know.Damn this is long...hahhaha... later guys!

I recommend finding the homepage of your local PD or finding their non-emergency number and ask them what-s legal and what isn-t. I-ve found the folks who work the beat here in Burnsville MN to be very helpful with any questions I-ve had. Just start with something like -I want to do this, but I don-t want to break any laws either- and they-ll be glad to assist you.

hey when installing the front underglow did you take apart the front bottom pannels or did you let it hang down low
    • Mar 11, 2005 11:34:09 pm
I cut the bottom plasic piece to make the front light fit.
    • Mar 13, 2005 10:53:30 pm
