Well I think you just named em, haha. Header, exhaust, crank pulley and stuff like that. You are never going to find a cheap item that gives a lot of instant horsepower or torque. Sucks doesn't it? Power is expensive, haha.
You could try Nitrous Oxide. Its cheap, but dangerous if you are inexperienced.
Yeah if you are looking to spend the least amount of money but gain some power in return, intake, header, pulley, and exhaust is the best way to go. After that it will start to get expensive to create more power though!
Every F/I is bad for your car they all OVER time can break down the parts in the motor soo why is everyone soo scared of nitrous? If you use it right and install it right then it does just as much wear and tear on the motor as a turbo or S/C.... both speed up the wear process the diff is they are always putting that extra strain on the motor and the nitrous is only temp. I mean correct me if I'm wrong ?
The words "cheap", "easy", and "engine mods" don't really belong in the same sentence. Well maybe this one: Man that girl was cheap and easy, and she didn't know anything about engine mods.
But on a serious note, I tend to agree with Toast's stance on N2O. If used properly your car will still be reliable and you will not significantly increase the risk of damage. Nitrous has come a long way over the years, and its not really a gamble to put it on anymore. Just do your research and spend the money to do it right. I was going to do a 75 wet shot on my car but then got wrapped up in this twin turbo project which is crawling along at a snails pace.
