S-Pipes should be ready in 3-4 weeks.. An optional anti-fouler will be available with it for those that have after market headers. It is unknown whether or not that anti-fouler will cost extra at this point in time.We are currently taking pre-orders on the s-pipes since these are quite popular.

will i need the anti-fouler if i have stock headers also will the anti-fouler be availible by its self to purchase when i buy headers in the future

You wont need the anti-fouler with the stock header.. which is the main reason why Draxas wont include it on all orders.. They aren-t sure how it might effect the stock system (if at all).. I-m sure we will be able to get you the anti-fouler down the road.

I keep hearing about these antifoulers and i have even seen pics of it installed. My question is what are we bypassing here by installing it? I mean when a aftermarket header with or without a precat is installed what code is it posting in the ecu when the cel comes on and what is the anitfouler doing to eliminate the check engine light? Is the o2 sensor2 actually reading properly when its installed it is it in some way tricking the computer into thinking its reading correct. and is it and o2 at all I know alot of newer toyotas have Air Fuel ratio sensors installed instead of just an Oxygen senor.

I-m not sure what code its throwing.. I haven-t had time to go to autozone to read the code. The anti-fouler is slightly backing the 02 sensor out from the hot exhaust gasses passing through the S-Pipe. Since the CAT was removed from the exhaust manifold by installing the header, it alters the exhaust gasses because the CAT is not performing its job any longer. By backing the 02 sim out, its not directly in the hot gasses so it changes what the 02 sim is reading. This makes the ECU believe that there still is a CAT and that it is performing its job. Theres always the possibility of the CEL coming back on .. but this trick has been used for many many years and has worked very well for people with high flow CAT-s or headers.

Are the s pipes made of Stainless Steel? What size pipe are you making it? Is it any larger than stock?

how hard was it to install the antifouler
    • Apr 13, 2005 10:37:30 am
Installing it is not difficult.. Drilling the anti-fouler is what took longer

ok that linked helped out alot there appreciate that. only thing is if your going to advertise it as a polished peice you shoudl post a better pic of it. That weld was not even cleaned up and the pipe just looks like a standard peice of unpolished stainless steel.

Yah I know.. thats not the actual piece itself.. I wrote a little disclaimer on there.. I-ll try to get a new pic from Draxas so it better reflects the quality of it..

I suggest a vice and some gear oil to lube up the drill bit, and a file or a dremel to clean off any burrs. Other than that, its cake.

I actually took a short vid of us drilling the anti-fouler.. I-ll see if I can post it up

it took forever for my to drill out the anti-fouler.. I had a brand new drill bit and everything.

You can get a Cobalt bit from Lowes, it will go through steel no problem, keep oil on it. Drill steel with cheap chinese bits takes forever.

so the Draxas S-Pipe is coming out soon.... is there going to be an improvement through performance and sound???if so than this is a great improvement over after market headers, right?
