I was thinking about taking my car to an all water car wash today and I go to the ones that only use water none of that soft cloth stuff beating on my car. My question is, if one of the high powered jet streams shoot down into my exhaust(Tsudo Fireball) will that cause problems with gaskets, not draining, etc?

Nope, as long as your exhaust isn't submerged under water then you'll be fine.

no man you should be fine, the water wont get up there far enough to do any damage, anyway your exhausht usually have condinsation it it anyway! your good to go! on another note those car washes SUCK! your hands broken? doit by hand its so much better... im just giving you s#!t though good luck!

Well if you have an intake... the filter could get soaked if it shoots a lot of water underneath.

agreed if you have aftermarket intake make sure you goto one with-out undercarage washing

I want to do it with my hand but I'm not going to go out there and wash my car with some dove soap and not have it waxed. My plan is my next pay day pick some stuff up. I want to get the good stuff and wash it right.

No to many twist and turns... I doubht they would put in a carwash if it was going to kill people's cars. Just watch out for the high presure sprayer, because the maintence guys at a scion/toyota dealer ship tell me they are bad for the seals on your car. (this happened to me, my girlfriend got sprayed in the face while going through a car wash.... I thought it was funny but scared that my sunroof would leak... It hasn't yet.)

LMAO I would've said Bousch as she got sprayed.
Thats a funny story like when my cousin roled the window down on my Nissan Altima when the pre-wash was spraying and got him in the mouth.

Also I had a NX 2000 and me and my brother were driving on a clear day with the T-tops off and out of the blue it started pouring down raining. We were on the highway when it happened and as long as I stayed above 60mph, we didnt get wet.

Also, based on how the conversation is going, I assume that you mean the automated water washes? If so, one thing to consider is that many of them do not dilute their chemicals well enough in their resevoirs and this can be harsh on your paint. I have the factory pedestal spoiler on my car, and I took my car through one of those once. The reason I never did it again was that some of the fluids got up into the pedestal as will happen when you wash the car. Later that day, the water dripped out on to the hatch when the car was dry. The difference in this instance was that whereas after a normal wash and this happens, I get a spray detailer and wipe the resulting water marks off, after the auto wash, I had to clay bar the area. Yeah the Meguiar's spray detailer could not get it off.

since I'm nowhere near home lol ... I just live on campus. I take it to the regular DIY wash. $4.50.. 9 minutes done, then I go detail my car (and claybar if necessary)
