Has anyone had any problems with the paint of there car My Azure Pearl TC scatches so easy like it takes nothing for it to scratch does anyone have a problem like this there is scratchs all over my hood and I havn't even had the car two months

well other than you, rrimport and me. i don't think there are other AZ pearls around.
I know every single scratch on my car lol but not because it shows, just from weekly inspections.
i don't think AZ pearl shows scratches that bad, i can't imagine BSP or
Indigo ink pearl.

i know my scratches also from weekly wash, lol you cant really see them from far away

Yea you can't see my scratches from far way but omg the paint scratches so easy it almost like there is only one layer on paint on it.

it was after i got off the freeway one day driving from Manhattan Beach to Lenix Airsoft park, like a 110 mile drive on way. I got home and the next day i see 3 chips out of my hood...i was pissed

Oh well chips are another thing, i stopped counting those, there must be about 8 just on my hood!
but i think thats with all the scions, toyota paint is thin as hell...operantly brittle too...

u should see my IIP hood/front end. they look like chips, but almost like bubbling too. my hood is terrible. its like chunks of the paint (size of pin-heads) are just gone. anywhere on the front end that is metal (hood, fenders, etc..) has these chips in it. the plastic bumper is fine. makes me think the paint didn't totally bond with the metal too well.
i've been so pissed about this since day 1. especially when i found out they discontinued my paint code after 2005.
did someone say defective paint and/or clearcoat?

well at least you guys dont have an imprint of someones license plate on your bumper =[!!! Some stupid fucker hit me while i was parked but man you can see his license plate. i reported his arse and got him though hahahaha. just waiting to get this shit fixed

^^^ try this one...someone hit me when i was parked...turned to sharp into their spot..pushed my bumper in and took some paint with them too...didnt get to see who did it..i was takin a fuckin midterm...assholes...after that..lil scratches are the least of my worries

I have AP and it does scratch easy. And not like any other car I have owned. Most cars scratch but are still the same color. On my tC, a rock chip goes all the way to metal.

i have a front clear bra on my car and a rock friken squeezed right between where the hood and the bumper line up it has the paint showing and it chipped right down to the metal i was like are u kidding me

just get some meguire scratch x for the swirls and scartches, and if u gonna wipe ur car when ur not washing it, u should always use a detailer spray

I also have a Azure Pearl colored Tc. I also have minor chips on my hood, can't do anything about it. Especially when you're driving and car/trucks kick up rocks on your hood and windshield.

yeah, it's pretty hard to dodge tiny nearly invisible rocks at speeds of 65 mph
