56k might take long rear tire front tire rides really good better than what i expected...if i had a kit or splash guards on, that would really suck

lowering springs use your old struts while coilovers come with both new struts and springs. usually the struts and springs that come with the coilovers are designed to compliment each other offering better performance and ride. using lowering springs while retaining the old struts can result in shortened life span of the struts. the coilover struts are designed to work with the lower springs while the oem struts are not.

so if you get coilovers, is there a need to buy lowering springs as well, or does buying coilovers have that covered?

If you get coilovers there is no need for lowering springs, most coilovers are adjustable I-m pretty sure the teins are. Both style coilovers tein offer I think are adjustable and the damper ones you can adjust the height and the damper of the shock.

what height are your coilovers set at in this picture. I-ve heard some bad experiences with coilovers that when people put them on all the turned up there car was slammed or some cases all the way lowered they where reased up really high. So just wondering are those all the way up or down or in between in the pic

alittle off topic... what is typical life span of the stock struts? and at what point would i most likely need to change them? i know it all depends on how you drive, where, and how much but a ball park?

With those coilovers, can you increase the ride height higher than stock? and if so by how much??

r1mirostc nice ride!! .....I prefer lowering springs over coil-overs.I had a 1997 mits. galant. SLAMMED with 17in wheels.I used coil-overs to do the job. Damn it was low, and only got lower.I could fit only 2 fingers under the body. The problem I had was that everytime I tried to save up for a camber kit, I had to buy new tires. I bought new tires about every 6 months. This was not cheap. The handling was great, but not worth new tires twice a year. So I had to raise it back up. I went with lowering springs. Not as low but still got the look and handling I was wanting. The same problem occures with the springs, but not as bad and can usually be fixed with a good alignment. Either way save up extra and get everything you need at once.I hope this helps. Good luck!

there is a little confusion, lowering springs are lowering springs, springs one time shot. coil overs are coil overs, adjustable anytime you need to. there are coil over kits..which come with the sleeve and spring that slip over top your factory strut(minus factory spring) and give you an almost factory like ride and usually a 0 - 4 inch drop. actual real coil overs is the complete strut/spring combo...which is a different ride and fully adjustable as well also a bit more money. lowering springs is a 1 time shot, after you put them on, you either like it or you dont. if you dont than ya just wasted your money. personally, i like coil overs. kits or real deal, as long as they are adjustable im all for it. well thats my opinion.
