Wow, the new Mazda 2.3 turbo is up there.........guess they used some old technology from the Turbo coupe (2.3 turbo Thunderbird) and brought it back to life.

I had the non-turbo model in my Ranger........2.3 but it was dual plug vs. single plug. Damn intake AND exhaust spark plug for more efficiency. Thing still runs like a champ though.........all I had to do was get the old 2.3 head from a turbo coupe and intake manifold (and the turbo..haha) and it would have been a bit quicker

i don't think the 2.3 turbo in the mazdaspeed cars is the same as in ford rangers or thunderbird coupes. its the MZR engine right?

either way, its one nice motor.

and notice, only ONE toyota motor on the list. not surprising. while toyota vehicles are nice quality, they really haven't been producing that many great motors. and the 3.5 V6 from the camry?? whats so special about that?

i can see the vq35 and the new turbo I6 BMW motor, but come on toyota...represent us better!

Yeah, sorry.......didn't meant to say it's the same one........just same design overall......2.3L, turbo....just the basic overlook.

Nice to see the 4.6 Mustang motor in there .

Funny..........no Honda/Acura engines.

yeah, really. you'd think you'd see a K series in there. seems to be a bit biased toward Ford/GM/Daimler-chrysler/BMW...not too much in the way of japanese representation.
