 hey guys, long time no talk at all,
yeah i was busy and lazy,

i have a question.
did any of you guys ever own a Mitsubishi Eclipse?
how was it like? would you recommand it?
because friend of mine is trying to get a car,
and she likes Eclipses.

she couldn't pronounce Mitsubishi,
she calls it " Meet Su Bee Shee" really slowly =]

comments would be great

I've had this discussion before and some will argue, but the demand for a Mitsubishi car isn't great. As a result the resale value suffers greatly.

From an engineering standpoint on Mitsubishi's products for the last 5 years. The company fails to creat a quality vehicle.

Don't try and trade one, you'll own it for life because no bank will want to finance the negative equity.

 but my neighbor was showing us his ride, cause my friend bagged him, he drives 99 mitsubishi eclipse, and he spent $10,000 only on engine parts. i dunno it was worth it.
but he has 500 HP, he said that it drives great.
hmmm

 My friend has a 98-eclipse non-turbo and is still running with about 140,000 miles not bad but I’ve heard so many stories of it being a bad car brand.

 Stay away from Mitsu....not good for the long haul. My buddy has a 98 GS and he's gone through 2 engines.....and he doesn't race it at all!

Don't get one! I had a bf who had one and sure it looked real nice but was really just a piece of crap. My sis has 1 now and hates it...she totalled her prelude and got the eclipse for a good deal..but is trying desperately to get rid of it cuz it sux Sorry if that's not what u wanted to hear...if u like 'em go ahead and get 1 though.

 yeah my father owns a automotive repair business and i was lookin at them a couple years ago and he said he would disown me if i bought one he said there a PITA to work on and he always gets them in for work

 don't get any 3g eclipse, their heavy and slow, my friend used to own a gt, and when you sit in it, you can feel how heavy is. 2g looks good but only the one with 4g63 in it is worth getting. and Mitsubishi should be MitSHITbishi.... i'll never buy another mitshitbishi cause of their terrible customer service and warranty service.

 MItsubishi is not bad thoo i like the new eclipses.. i went for a test drive for the new spyder eclipse gt and its not bad i like the interior lol! haah but i dont like mitu's at all, BUT the EVO is the 1 of the nicest cars!!!!! it should like be in a differnt brand then MITSU

thank god that dodge didn't make anything that look like evo, like they did to the 3000gt and stealth.. eclipse and talon, it just ruins everything.... and evo is 100% made in japan!! lol
