ok it comes down to these 2 choices. ive talked to Web about it, and i still cant decide LOL.

1. AlphaWerks header. USED - 10,000 Miles. Rusting at s-pipe connection.

2. DC Sport Header. NEW

PICK AND SAY WHY!!!!

also, which provides less rasp?

Moved to EXHAUST.

DC with 2 big resonators would be perfect. AW with 2 resonators would be good too.

stock mid + stock axle back + Header = very little to no rasp. It only comes in when you replace the mid pipe.....the wider tubing and less resonance chambers makes for more NOISE.

sweet, yeah, that should keep the rasp low and maybe only when you punch it you'll notice it. You should be good for a while and then just get some resonators (I suggest a Moroso spiral flow )

You can get them on the stock if you want

speaking of the DC sports header, mine just came in the mail yesterday. looking at the box i cant tell anything that distinguishes it as for the tc as opposed to any other car. is it just generic packaging they use?

Nah, it'll have a DC Sport emblem welded onto one of the top of the runners and just ceramic coated. Nothing really that says tC on it though.

so in every1s opinion, is the rust on the alphawerks to be a concern?

If it's just surface rust, no, but if it's pitted or somewhat inset, then I'd go DC.

The flanges on the alphawerks are a hefty 3/8" so I doubt the rust is signifigant

A lot of people say the cat reduces a lot of rasp, some say its BS.
I think it really does. I was going to run a cat but now i'm switching to a whole new set up with no cat so i'll find out if it reduces rasp or not.

as for the header...the alpha's are nice an have great quality, but the DC sports is right behind in performance if not quality. The ceramic coating is a nice bonus too since it'll reduce engine bay temps.

wow that was more intense than that one time I forgot how to sit down...
