A friend of mine has 30k on his mercedes, and they are really cool looking but suck as actual headlights. The light doesn't travel very far at all. Might want to consider getting a set of fogs for actual illumination, and I wouldn't even consider driving at night in the rain.

You can put HIDs into your fog light housings, and since you have the OEM fog lights, it is fairly simple. Most kits now a days come with a relay harness, so you'd do a little bit of wiring, but putting in the HID kit would consist of bolting down a ground and a 12v wire and connecting about 7 connectors. Also, your OEM fogs use a 9006 bulb.

Its hard to tell in pictures because the HIDs are so bright, but is the 5000k the same color as the Oznium angel eyes?

You won't see the angel eyes in those shots because I baked open and removed them.

As far as the color temp of 5k vs CCFL, the 5k temp is slightly warmer, maybe about 500 degrees warmer than the halo.
