I’m choosing between the BMW 328xi AWD or the Infiniti G35 x AWD.
I test drove the BMW yesterday it’s a nice car; I’ve always like BMW. As for Infiniti I’ve never owned one and don’t know how good of a car they are.

I would like your guys opinion to help me choose between the pros and cons of each.

VS.

I like the BMW much better. Not a fan AT ALL of the G35 4 door.

i'd take the bimmer, you'll never have a better driving experience...no car handles, performs or looks better in it's class...

The thing I do not really like the BMWs engine 3.0 I-6 ONLY 230HP… Infiniti has 3.5L V6 306HP and fully loaded for $2,800 less then the BMW with some upgrades.

Maybe it's just that color of the G35 that makes it ugly but I just haven't been a fan of the style of their 4 door.

But, it's up to you anyways. If you can get that power for cheaper, i'm sure you can make that car your own too.

the horsepower rating could be deceiving because they still rev awesome, my girl has an 02 3 series and we considered a new 3 series, but with our wedding coming up and all it stood as just an idea, however we did manage to test drive a few in the process and it's totally worth it...with the surge in the market for the perfect luxury sportscar bmw is no longer alone in it's class but i will tell you one thing, having a bimmer is statement, a lifestyle for a very selected few...it all comes down to what do you want out of your car...a bimmer would be more about looks, performance when needed, life of luxury, living in style...a g35, although 4-door, probably not as prestigious, nice, fast, clean, but one major aspect, it says infiniti and not bmw on the rear hatch..i say if you can afford it, take a chance on going european...heck, lease it if you're not sure...that way next year, you can option out for your infiniti...trust me, thank me later.

That’s why I choose the BMW for its name but I just stopped by the Infiniti dealer and checked out the G and the price is so much lower but then again it is only an Infiniti not a Bimmer. Thanks for your opinion.

i agree with web. THumbs down on the g35 sedan. Lex IS250 w/ Awd is much better.

personally, i'm not a fan of the non "M" bimmers. but if you get the new 3 series with the Twin turbos (don't know which model), you'd be awesome.

but either/all of those cars are Luxury...and really shouldn't even be mentioned on a scion forum.

but seriously, are you that wealthy that you can REALLY afford those cars (and if so, why even waste your time with scion) or are you just so hell-bent on having a luxury car that you're willing to live beyond your means so you can have the "lux car status". Or are you really 40 years old, so that purchasing a lux car wouldn't be that out of the ordinary.

fyi: 99% of the time i laugh at the lux sedan drivers (typically mid aged yuppie men/women) who are driving around like their car is so hot. Its just a stock car. THOUSANDS of other people have the EXACT same car. Yeah, you're special. wow. i really hate young guys/girls who drive BMW's, etc.. thinking that the rest of the world thinks they are rich and powerful...no we don't. We just think you blew all your money on a car.

end rant.

My tc gets me from point A to point B just as well as any lexus, infiniti or BMW.

If I must explain then I shall… I owned a condo and now I’m selling it and I will be investing some and choosing a nice 4dr to drive around to appointments. I like my tC since I have done so much work to it so I don’t really want to sell it or I cant do to the mods I have done. I also have a 05 LandRover LR3 and I don’t drive around like a prissy prick.

that's an opinion from someone who obviously can't afford one...nevertheless, i'm sure the people in the bmw(especially a new one for that matter) don't even realize that we're alive in our silly toyota toys, so while you're busy hating, they're worried about the leather getting stuck to their asses...lol...nothing wrong being young and riding big, just shows you've got aspirations...now of course if you have an escalade and you still live in your mom's garage, then of course you have issues...but those who work hard, like to play hard, hence a bmw...i love being young in a bimmer...respect from your elders, respect from the PD, (i've been caught so many times doing things i shouldn't be doing and when the cop does nothing, i always think, i bet you if i was in my tc he would pulled me over for sure) heck even parking attendants treat you better...it's what you want the world to perceive you as, a tc says one thing, a bimmer says something completely different...

dude it really doesnt not matter if you drive a bmw the way you think...its just a car, not your life. i know people that can afford a murcielago that drive sub 30,000 cars, because they dont feel the need to show off their money. showing off just shows insecurities.

just chill, its a car, not your life lol

co-worker of mine has a 2005 BMW 325i and can't stand it. She said it's horrible in the rain. I've been in if first hand going out to lunch and the damn thing just spins like a top. Perfect tires, all maintenance done at the dealer and she can drive good. Not sure but RWD BMWs, other than an M3, really wouldn't be worth it IMO. They do LOOK nice though.

I’m going today to see what deal BMW will offer. I test drove the AWD in the rain and it seemed to handle fine. I just find that the run-flat tires don’t allow the sidewall to flex that much so it fills unique to drive.

i vote for the g35. the new sedan is super sexy. and i have a few friends with bimmers and they have electrical problems. damn germans made things too complicated. one of my friend's '02 325i has already gone through one tranny and his current one slips sometimes. bmws also cost a lot more to maintain. i've been in love with nissan's vq series engine.

obviously cesar wanted input on what car to get, yeah it's just a car but 5 years of payments on something you're not happy with is not "just a car"....if he posted a thread on it he wants our input, just giving mine from personal experience...i'd go with what's in your heart, i too also experience electrical problems with our 3 series...my first response was bimmers, dam lemons, but the tales about bimmers being lemons are false...i'll be honest, the car after the warrantied maintenance can get pretty pricey to maintain, even if you do it yourself the parts are dam expensive, nevertheless if you're happy with your car as i(we are) am then it'll be all worth it...the thing is the germans make the vehicle so extensively touchy, even low windshield fluid will cause your sensors to off..i rid myself of the fear the day i bought my obd2 scanner, after that, no prob...just scan, read the code, and get to it...the choice is yours....one problem i do have with bmw's are their dash's...too plain for years and still counting...

yea i think bimmers are getting uglier...bring back the classic bmws, not even too classic even the 2001 bmw 740iL something like that. heres a pic.

BMW's are 1 of the best cars ever built, and the new 335i turbo is an AMAZING car, i think its faster then the m3 but they wont show it on the website, because it will make the m3 look bad, thats the new car my brother got when he gave me his Si handling is incredible and the engine is amazing too
