All I know is when I was shopping around for my headunit, I wanted a flip out navi system and it wouldn't fit. With the Scion flip out cover, you can't get enough extension for the headunit. But I have seen people with them in, so I'm sure they modify the crap out of it. I still wanted to use the cover so I didn't mind too much.

Sometimes I need what only you can provide: your absence.

you should get a double DIN tv. buydig.com has a panasonic one for around $540 shipped. mod the stock mounting brackets to have the tv sit a few CM back and the scion door will close perfectly. all flip outs require you to lose the scion door

YOU HAVE TO TAKE THE COVER OFF and it would fit.. and flip out perfect... i jus wish they made a tv or something that flipped out like the cover does...

you can use a unit that is prodominantly a touch screen, no motorized screen to flip up or down and that would work, most others require you to loose the oem cover piece..but i've seen a guy with a stock tc using the motorized unit that opens and closes your cover while having a touch screen installed, that shit looks bad...tcover i believe it's called, everytime he turns his key it opens and closes and the rest is history...

I Think The Only Way The Flip Outs Will Work Is If u Get Rid Of The Oem Door
