ok when i get my tc i was thinking about s/c it but the guy at the dealer ship told me its not good on the Engine and will probley mess something up in the near future because our cars can’t handle one. What do yawls think? and has any one had a problem out of it. |

If the only thing you are going to do is add the SC and leave it at 7.5PSI then It will be very reliable. But if you are looking to mod it out with Custom Intake / H/P & SC P/ E. Then you start messing with the engines dynamics which will start to give you problems but all in all the car is not that expensive to fix if all hell brakes loss, That’s why I bought it. 2008 G37 OB Sport 6MT... 2007 335I 4DR... |

I've heard nothing but good things about the s/c.. however there are some people who say that the seals melt from excessive heat if you have an aftermarket header ![]() ![]() ![]() The Thread Killah |

The supercharger is made for the car, why not ask someone who has one? I know Tong does. (Blueblitz release series 2.0 top rides) Other than being a little noisey at idle, I haven't heard any bad stories about the supercharger. |

The rattling noise is just due to it's design (centrifugial). Seal leak is something that is common when replacing the header due to the excess heat directly below the oil seal. Bracket mount that is sits on the trany with has been known to break with excessive movement of the engine (i.e....get an engine damper ASAP). That's all I've heard about it.....and that it's not worth it due to it's low power compared to other cars in it's class....RSX Type S, Si, SE-R...) ![]() Complaining is futile when you supported the victory. http://clubsciontc.com/fo...-rims--5x100-pattern.html |

i havent heard anything bad about the s/c either. its good if you want something that'll be quicker than stock that you can add into your payments with a buttload of interest. if youre lookin for power go with a turbo. there have been many turbo kits that prove reliable in the longer run (of course not near stock or s/c) So what if my girlfriend drives a Supra, I'm sexier than she is! No... I'm not... ************* CHECK OUT MY GALLERY ************* http://www.clubsciontc.com/jboy510/gallery-8 |

since this is a TRD SC thread...I decided I would ask. As anyone heard or seen anyone have the TRD SC w/NO2 (Nos/Zex)? That is the route I think Ive decided to go. Im trying to see if I either come up w/the $ for the TRD SC later on in the year...then after I research it a lil bit more I may intend on "BOTTLE feeding" the TC as well...nothing too insane maybe 30-50 shot.... I current have a header, down pipe, mid pipe & exhaust set up...CAI is getting installed this weekend...but once i go FI then that will come out and probably an ARC air box will get put in. Right now Im still researching all of my options. I believe I may try to have a heat shield fabricated to seperate the heat from the header to the TRD SC to avoid some "heat soak" issues... I know someone I believe Inter/After-coolered their TRD SC as well... Of course upgrade the BOV...get a boost guage to carfully read the vitals...perhaps get the alternator & water pump pully and NOT BOTHER w/the TRD SC crank pully because I hear rumors of spiked boost levels occuring -- which as im sure is fun isnt safe for the engine or the TRD SC... Oh and before I forget I was having a conversation w/my buddy who drives an RX8 and as a matter of fact is now "BOTTLE FED"....we were taliimng about "terms' Used to descrive FI methods.... Boosted = TURBO CHARGED Bottle Fed = NO2 (NOS or ZEX for those that dont know but its ok not to know) (__________) = SUPER CHARGED My question is does anyone know what the term for SUPER CHARGED IS? I cant think of it. Ive heard it once but I dont remember at the moment. Thanks... |
