Only thing I am thinking is to trade out the stock deck for one of those Alpine decks that are coming out that can control an iPod directly.Oh course I will need an iPod first.

I plan on getting the new Pioneer deck when it-s released. It-s supposed to have dvd/nav in one, with a flip out touch screen monitor. Along with some 12- subs, amp, and component speakers all by Pioneer.

I like the design of the door covering the audio system. You could place some pretty sweet components in there and keep a stock look, until you open that door. I-m sure there-ll be pleny of LCD screens and such hiding behind there in the future. I-m really interested in Alpine-s hard drive head unit. Connect the hard drive to your PC via usb, load up to 16gb, and pop it back in to the head unit. A friend of mine recently had 150+ cd-s ripped out of his car, so this would avoid that annoyance. Using an Alpine CD head unit to control it, I think they-ll both fit nicely in the compartment. Of course, with those two items, I-m already $1500 in the hole, without even touching on amps, subs, speakers...

i think im gonna opt for a six cd indash, and maybe have the dvd nav thing going on as well. im hoping to put in some 10- subs and some aftermarket tweeters and speakers with some amps. im not gonna go all tou to put like a 4000 watt stereo, just something that will make the music sound good while im driving down the street.

I think that those are some BIG ASS subs, i really wanna get a flat screen to go under the cover, maybe a navi but dont know yet. But im not gonna go for the screens that come out by them selves, just the flat screen thats always visible to sit under the front cover.

If you are looking for a non-foldout screen about the only thing I have seen that will fit well is a Kenwood DDX7015Click here for more info on the DDX7015I may go that route when I get ready to do a video setup, but right now I-m extreamly ahppy with the setup I have now.

i think the best subs come from blaupunkt...kicker has awesome stuff too..really thumps..but pioneer has that new 5000 watt sub that was tested at a competition and it was the only speaker not to blow up...imagine the price

Def stick with JL audio. I used to sell and install high end audio for cars. The components are pretty good for the price and the subs are some of the best sounding and most reliable. Trust me i have had mine over 5 years and i beat the piss out of them and never had a problem. Dont skimp on a good amp though (again JL).

blaupunkt...?? U are kidding right? wow... do they even make car audio anymore? Sorry.. just messing with you.....kinda..Romuel-Dave what is the thing in your cardomain site third down on the left pic? Auto starter? My car audio... HIGH END... is Focal Utopia component sets in the front, MAYBE custom kick panels.. Door locations are not too great IMO. Might put some 6x9-s in the back ( yes I will have to cut the panels to fabricate this, but for the sound (6x9-s are LOUD) it-s worth it. Again probably Focal for those.. <-- they make amazing speakers. Going with one Image Dynamic IDMAXX 12 sub. 1000 watts RMS. Very comparable to the 12w7, but just less $$$.I like JL-s stuff too, just not as good with speakers as the Focal but they do make some good amps and Subs. I am getting Zapco for the amp(s), not sure if it will be one amp or two. They make a 6 channel that would be perfect just not alot of power going to the sub is all only 325W. The IDMAXX 12 wants alot more than that.. so I might have to go with another 2 channel Zapco. Just in case anyone doesn-t know.. Zapco makes just about the best amps money can buy.. No I am not rich, but I feel that this stuff is worth it-s price. I practically LIVE in my car driving 50 miles one way to work everyday... I don-t need to go fast just look good and have a nice system. BTW I have an Eclipse 5V head unit. model #5123 ALmost forgot The 12- sub is going in a custom box going to be fabricated at the back right of the trunk kinda where the bazooka is. ALthough I will lose all the space up to where the spare is. It will come right to the edge where the right most compartment is when you lift the mat. Right where the spare wheel well starts.Ryan

you think those drop down lcds are too heavy to mount on the door? so that when you open it, the lcd will hang down from there instead of covering any stereo components?I think that would be cool, if possible
