Just keep in mind that the high beams will take about 15-20 seconds to charge up to full potential. I had them on my car and used them as spot lights down LONG country roads. They are GREAT for visibility but the slight downfall is the 15-20 second delay in charge up time. If you pop those babies on early and "accidentally" take out 1-2 cars with it, you'll be fine

If you start the high beams up, then switch to lows, after a while of driving the highs should still be charged as long as the car isnt turned off correct? Even if not, you can hold the light lever back to activate highs and lows for a few seconds to let them charge, then switch.

The SEARCH feature on the site works, I promise. USE IT!!!

Nope. If the HIDs stay off for about 1 minute, they need almost a full charge cycle. If you just pull and hold the lever, then they get a full blast of power but even if you do that for 30 seconds and then flick them on normally, they still have a charge cycle of about 10 seconds. It helps only slightly....believe me, I tried them multiple times to cut that time down but it's still about the same.

But what you DON'T want to do, also, is continually turn the HIDs on/off. The ballast will overheat or have internal damage caused to it by the current spike. That's why if you have HIDs, you never turn them on and off in short time intervals.

First click = parking lights / turn signals
Second click = low beams
Pull back = high beams

I cannot find the brand Halo in terms of regular light bulbs. But my first guess is that it is a halogen bulb with a tinted glass. So in the end your old halogens would be better.

1) whats advantage of a 50w ballast?

2) who has both high and lows? is it too much? because thats like.. 4 ballasts

3) if i want a clean install where can i put the ballasts at?

1) They are brighter than 35w ballast, that is the only advantage
2) Web has had both high and low on his tC. The only down side is that it takes about 15-20 seconds for the high beams to warm up to full operating potential, so if oncomming traffic gets caught in your high beams they may burst into flames its so bright.
3) I know a lot of people put them behind the front bumper, but I have seen a few people put them in front of the radiator support (without having to take off the bumper) for a super clean and easier install

I installed my ballasts under the headlights themselves... and zip tied them down for additional insurance. Those brackets that come on the ballasts are REALLY flimsy.

Indeed. They do work. Its actually alittle bit better that they are that way because since there's no set install instructions. So you can bend them to however you need to for mounting. I bent 'em flat to fit them under the headlights.
