Ya man, when you get the Fogs, let me know the bulb size and I'll be able to help you out from there partner.

So I installed the set yesterday but something is wrong. Mind you I am new to head light tweaking. These are the headlights I have them installed in:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaym...QQitemZ290138084915QQrdZ1

Basically they shine really bright up to 5 feet ahead of the car and anything further isn't bright. Also when I drive none of the street signs light up which leads me to beleive they shine REALLY low.

I tried playing with the adjustment screws on the housing, but it didn't seem to raise the beam at all, just move it left and right. I tried both screws. Does anyone have any experience with installing HIDs on this specific housing? Also, assuming my car is on a level surface, what are the proper distances & heights that I should adjust to?

I know a lot of people use the Anzo lights and they work great for them. As for those specific lights, I am unsure. If you can find level ground and a wall that you can drive about up close to further away from backwards to help see your problem. It may be the fact that they are aimmed low.

Also, check to make sure the bulbs are fully in holder (where the bulb is placed) Having them not in the bulb holder all the way can cause problems like you are having.

As for proper distance, off the top of my head I am unsure. But remember that the right side (passenger side) headlight is aimmed higher than the left side (driver side) as to help better see street signs.

HIDs do shine brighter then stock about 10X brighter depending on the K you get. As for there being cheap HID kits YES there are. Operatic’s HID kits are high quality at a great price.

Yes, even though I have only 1 HID working, the light shines just as bright as having both stock halogens on I can only imagine how bright it'll be once I get my new ballast!

Sorry for not being clear. I meant to ask how web mounted the ballasts onto that area, as in what he used, because I did not see any existing holes there.

Sorry, just got back from a NC trip.

Yeah, I used zip ties and then to strengthen it, I got some 16 gauge twisting wire (Ace or Home Depot) and made sure the ballast support was FIRMLY mounted to the metal portion of the bumper.

What "HIDs" did you buy? Is it an entire kit or did you get conned into buying the "HID simulating" halogens?

I'll be sending out your replacement ballast in an Hour or Two partner, so you can begin the countdown =)

Yes, our HID kit is brighter than your factory halogen bulbs. If you bought HID halogen bulbs (those blue tinted bulbs) then we'll be 30x brighter than those bulbs. As for cheap HIDs. If you really wanted some cheap HIDs, you can hit up eBay, but if something goes wrong, they may not be there to help you if you have any problems.

Just a quick user review on the SAFETY feature of these lights as well as aesthetics:

Driving on RT. 301 coming from Richmond to Baltimore this morning around 1 a.m. (bypassing 95 and traffic), I was going along at about 60 mph (speed limit is 55 but on this road, you didn't want to push it due to limited view). The entire time, my HIDs were on (obviously) and I was spotting dear with about 50-60 yards of distance from my car and them. There was another vehicle on the road that passed me and had halogens and even with his highbeams on, these HIDs were brighter and MUCH more visible against the tree line. After driving on there for about 120 miles, I ended up spotting 35 deer and not one was spotted close enough to my car to not allow me to avoid an accident. These lights were DEFINATELY what helped me the most last night.

hey Operatic. I already own your HID kit. I heard u have good customer service. My friend ordered his and we took his to 2 professional shops (Velocity Factor) and (AutoDreams) who both do amazing jobs on all cars, both places couldnt get the hid's to work correctly Velocity factor even made there own harness to see if that would work. They made a really clean harness. The bulbs blink and theres a buzzing noise coming from them. Even when the power is cut off. I was wondering for his sake if you could give him a refund or a new kit if he sent his back?

His kit is under warranty. If he sends us a PM or calls us, we'll take care of him. Or if he wants to, he can return it and we'll refund him.

of course 6500k is brighter, the bluer you go the more it will get absorbed by the asphalt, thats why its better to go with a whiter color, it reflects more on the road
