any one got any info on these?
like the differences with the weight?
I'v seen them 130grams 200,300
which one for what application.

any recommended brands? the TWM ones look to be some serious knobs and they got great customer service but damn i dont wanna pay 100$ for a shift knob.

any one know the thread tap for the oe shifter?
are all after market shifters for the tc the same thread size as the oem?
I got a "Fidanza"

Not too up on the weighted shift knobs, although I've heard they help the shifter go into gear a little easier due to the added weight rather than you pushing it into the shift gate. Mainly for looks I would assume though.

The thread should be the same b/c i got the K2 shifter and just threaded my stock shift knob on there no problem.

a heavier knob helps the movement on a shorter shifter. A stock shifter would do well with a lighter knob.

yeah.. some people don't realize that the stock oem shifter has a bit of weight to it too.

they don't know until they take it off...

hmm.. believe the thread size is 12-1.25 and i've tapped my own shift knobs before. not too difficult with the right tools to make your own..

yes the oem knob does have a little weight to it.
it works OK with the K2 shifter since it only lowers about less than half an inch, But i'm swithching to a Fidanza which lowers the lever a little "over" 1 inch and has that typical shorter top stem longer bottom one thing going.I'm thinking a 200 or 300 gram knob would be good, but i want one shaped like TWM classic line, just not 440g and 100$!! lol Greddy has one shaped in that style but it doesnt list a weight or claim to "be" weighted,Greddy's "counter weighted" knobs are round :frown:

yea, I've been looking around for a weighted shift knob too, haven't been able to find a good weighted one for cheap. The TWM ones are nice, but yea wayyy to expensive. I was wondering though if anyone has any pics of how their weighted shift knobs look on the tC and what they recommend other than the OEM one. lol.

I have this weighted knob that came with my creative compacts short shifter. If anyone wants it, PM me. I don't need it, so just pay for the shipping + 2 bucks so I can buy a Coke.

yes it is, also for the Greddy i would advise having a S shifter before putting it on. its very small, so on the stock shifter its gonna look like a a trucks shifter with the ball knob and about an inch of lever showing whith the boot not reaching the bottom of the knob.
