Is ZPI really planning on making a 6-speed transmission with LSD in it. If so i can't waite for it to come out. here is the link i found it. they don't have a picture but at the very bottom of the page it says it. http://www.turbo-kits.com/tC_turbo_kits.html |

for the price they may charge for the 6 speed, you're better off trading in your car and going with a car that already has one in it. SE-R Spec V or something like that. It'll probobly be somewhere in the neighborhood of around 5K easily and then install maybe be a good chunk b/c of the different size and what not. that's what I think at least. ![]() Complaining is futile when you supported the victory. http://clubsciontc.com/fo...-rims--5x100-pattern.html |

i'm sorry but i just don't like the sentra. They are decently priced and all but i have never liked them. They haven't made them yet but at the bottom of the link i provided on the right it says ZPI 6 speed. |

I'm not a fan of the Spec-V as well. But, for comparable money/car, it's the closest thing to us without paying a good bit more. ![]() Complaining is futile when you supported the victory. http://clubsciontc.com/fo...-rims--5x100-pattern.html |

why would you get a car that you don't like though? seems pointless to me. i've test drove a couple and it just wasn't comfortable to my taiste. |

I am not saying that I, personally, would buy one. If I wanted a vehicle that has a straight axle in the rear, I will just get a truck. That's one huge reason why it's very uncomfortable to drive. I'm just comparing the tC to cars that are closest to it with the upgraded trany. I do think that the tC would have been better with the 6 speed as a factory option for another 1-3K dollars, but that would have detered buyers I guess. If I were to go 6 speed, I would just save my money on this car and go with my F250 Turbo Diesel, 6 speed manual ![]() Complaining is futile when you supported the victory. http://clubsciontc.com/fo...-rims--5x100-pattern.html |

thats true i would definately like to have another truck. but hey i my tc and i love driving it i just would like to throw more mods on it while i do have it. I would love to have that truck though. just don't want to fork out the money for it. |

Yeah, I've put some money in mine for all the N/A parts (other than stage 1 heads and pistons) and I'm satisfied. It's still pretty quick from what I had so I'm ok with it. I'll keep this tC for another 2 years and if money is plentiful, I'll get the truck and keep the tC for everyday driving. Although the truck is a diesel, the weight factor kicks in and it'll be burning some fuel quick. I plan on getting a 6 inch suspension lift, 3 inch body lift, 38 inch tires, 1/4 solid steel front and rear bumper, built in brush guard, built in winch in front bumper, smoke stack exhausts, KC off-road light bar, HIDs, and KC front mount off-road lights on brush guard. It'll be something to take out and play with, not drive every day. ![]() Complaining is futile when you supported the victory. http://clubsciontc.com/fo...-rims--5x100-pattern.html |

i'm not too worried about you jacking the thread. yeah if you had that truck where i'm from driving it around its because you are showing off what you have and others don't. i'm from a fairly small place so people would go bug eyed looking at it. |

hahahaha, around my area it's a lot of ritzy people which I don't like. A friend of mine lives down in Charles County in Nanjemoy. That is sooooooooooooooo my place to live b/c it's country, open and almost everyone has SOMETHING 4X4. My F250 would be great down there in the mud holes and when it snows, that's just heaven ![]() Complaining is futile when you supported the victory. http://clubsciontc.com/fo...-rims--5x100-pattern.html |

i dont see much snow where i'm from. don't get me wrong it snows but once it hits the ground it melts. but it does make it all sluggish and nasty outside. Fun to play with my fathers Z71. |

I think the six speed would be cool to have but I think all they need to do for half the price is just come out with a new gear set for the existing trans. It is fifth gear that I hate the most, even more so since i've been boosted, I top out to fast. |

I agree. 5th gear is whats pissing me off in my ride, but the swap to a 6th gear is not worth it! Getting a nice turbo for that price sounds more appealing...i dont understand why the Tc isnt on a 6spd in the first place!!!! p.s. the Spec V is uncomfortable, noisy, bumpy, and not even worth the money your paying for it! |

yeah i definately wouldn't buy the sentra. Its been a long time since i had first started this thread. I don't think that ZPI is really making the transmission. I have some extra money for when i get home from iraq and i was going to get it if it came out. but guess not. |

seems like if Scion were going to have any kind of changes for 08... it should have been a freaking 6th gear!! then we might see a MPG better than 29-30 hwy |

the difference between the 5 speed and the 6 speed isn't all about the extra gear. 6-speed is really made for the highway driving and cruisin. While the 5-speed is better at drags and races like that. Don't believe me? Look at the Evo's times and things like that, you'll notice a difference from the 5th and 6th gear. the 1st and 2nd gear on the Lancer Evo GSR and the MR are the same, and as soon 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, gear comes, the MR's times will become slower. Yeah i like the 6-speed, but if you guys are in to doin drags with your tC's the 5-speed is the way to go. As for the tC drivers that like cruising and highway driving, the 6th gear is the way to go. That's why the Evo beats the STi easy, the STi has a 6th gear so it's easier for the GSR (5-speed) to beat the STi, better split times. And Scion doesn't put a 6-speed on the tC, because the engine power is so low, it takes a while to reach top end or redline there is really no need for the 6-speed. Not like the Si, or S2K, 4 cylinders but they have power and can reach redline way quicker than the tC. Just thought you guys would like to know |

I understand a 5 spd btr on a car doin drags, but depending on gear ratios a 6th gear could get us btr gas mileage. Our 5th is not very tall, cuz it does accelelrate decent in 5th. Im just sayin a 6th gear would be nice, but for the price it would likely go for, I could buy much btr mods. |

yeah i hear you, exactly what i'm sayin, for the price of the 6-speed, you're better off gettin more mods than one. |
