anyone know of any rubbing with 18 inch by 8.5 rims with tein s teck springs

Yeah, the will rub because their wider. To make them fit you have to cut and roll the wheel well and hope that works out for the best.My friend had that problem even though he did that so he's going back to stock size

does anyone know if 18s will work with the s tech springs just not at wide a tire?

There gonna be fine with the tein but your gonna rub sometimes. 18 x8.5 is kinda wide. Try putting 18x8

what would anyone suggest for lowering springs with 8.5 wide tires without rolling the fenders

Progress tech springs are 1.8(maufac specs) all around(some say 1.7) i
figured they'll settle at 1.9? IMHO this would be ideal for 18's which is what i plan on getting.


wow that was more intense than that one time I forgot how to sit down...

you will still rub with no drop on 18x8.5 without rolling the fenders and a proper offset.

the widest you should go is 7.5

My friend's tC with 18"s on s-techs.. no rubbing at all when i was driving it. not sure how wide the rims were but i'm sure they were 18x8

Im a newb and I just ordered up some Tein S-tech springs and I was wondering If I would have any rubbing issues with 18x8 wheels on a 40mm offset? Or does it all depend on the tire? I was going with 225/40/18 tires..
