I need to make up my mind between the EVO2 and the Hi Power, can anybody post a pic of their tc from behind, I wanna see how that HKS angles out. I'd prefer if the pic showed the whole rear end so i can see it in proportion to the car too. Thanks.

Don't get the Greddy. It's gonna make you sound and look like a Civic. Don't ruin the car. It's too big of a coffee can.

Sorry to be off topic, i recall web saying the Precat being one of the most restrictive peices next to the S pipe. Can anyone confirm this? cause Damn I was thinking of getting rid of the secon/main cat in my car(being that the pre has the o2 censor.

I'v heard clips of just about all the exhausts a zillion times, now mind you vids are diff than real life sound but so far these are my
opinions

HKS HP:probably the most agressive deepest growl of all tc "axle back"
but that just is the prob for me, not looking for very loud all the time.

Borla: ugh like web said, sounds like a boat. imho

magnaflow: nice and deep, but some thing about it, maybe the way it was recorded to much engine sound for my taste.

tanabe conc G: i cant really tell the diffbeteewn this and the...

injen: same as above

Tsubo: sounds nice but kinda generic

Greddy evo2: this cat/axle back hasn't gotten its proper due's imho
very few or short clips. I my self love it, its got a very very quiet growl at idle and a deep rich low growl at WOT it also has that cool
echoie? resonance at the bottom end, kinda like the flowmasters do when on V8's like trucks or oldschool 5.0 stangs. also i love the ginormous canister look, it fits nicely with the ginormous "hole toyota put on our rear bumper. now member thi is my personal opinion.
(by the way theres a great clip on streetfire of the greddy its hard as sheit to find thought try "06 tc with, greddy evo2")
also i did not include "full exhausts" like megan's and such

by the way web your full draxan with the flowmaster sounds sweet(didnt know flow made one for the tc)but the canister is teeny!!

also the vid thatcuts out real fast sounds sick!! what xhaust is that??

wow that was more intense than that one time I forgot how to sit down...

Ok, long story short.........I got my full s-pipe back Draxas exhaust. The rear section rattled a bit, but not against anything (interior rattle). I got a second section sent to me free, but stillt he same problem. I said F that and went to a local shop and just got a Flowmaster 40 series welded on the rear section. I am getting my Magnaflow resonator in Friday to get welded in as well to drown the sound down a bit. It's very loud at WOT and I've lost a bit of tq due to how wide open the exhaust is (not restrictive at all).

I sprayed it black to blend in stock b/c my entire car looks stock. All the upgrades are in the brakes, shifting, lights and engine.

Thanks for the comments though.

Oh, and about restriction, this is how it would go: (please correct me if I'm wrong anyone)

Most restrictive to least:

1..Header 2..S-pipe 3..Muffler 4..Mid pipe

Although the mid pipe has the main CAT, it's already designed to be somewhat of a "highflow" CAT b/c of the type of engine it has. Japanese spec engines usually come with heftier exhausts. Our muffler has 4 chambers in it that are very restrictive compared to the mid pipe. Our stock S-pipe is pinched in the center to restrict the exhaust flow going into the main CAT. The header is the most due to how short the runners are before actually going into the Pre-CAT. The longer the runners(tubes), the less restrictive the exhaust.

The last video has this as it's description:
Quote:
megan header +spipe with custom catback with 5in round resinator from magnaflow.

If anyone still wants to see pictures. Check out my profile or my thread in the "Show Off" forum. I got a whole bunch of pictures of the HKS Hi-Power Exhaust. Sounds amazing. One of the best investment I've done to my car. Get that over the Greddy.
