KRD may be able to help more with the auto questions but like I said, if your trans is slipping continuously as it sounds, it's on the verge of crapping out on you. Lowering the boost may help out a bit with trans longevity and POSSIBLE help maintain a stable power range. But once it's started slipping, its not one of those things that can't be undone. It helps not to stress the tranny anymore if you turn down the boost, but turning down the boost does not fix the already slipping tranny.

And as for the transmission slipping - what do you consider slipping? Is it not shifting at the top of the RPM range? Or is it slipping out of gear and back into it? You can get it at any auto parts store: http://www.lucasoil.com/p...&catid=2&loc=show You may also need to flush your transmission fluid. It's helped for me but I need to do it again. SoFloTC Boca Raton Florida, US Godlike Advisor	so does it not shifting mean the tranny is dying out? or ? i just put some new tranny fluid in it and it didnt seem to do much.. like 2 days ago can i just put in some of this or will i have to redrain the whole thing?

777ipd Bakersfield California, US Master Mechanic	Why do the 1st gen xB's think they're so fast, I think they have the same engine that I do! And they're a box. Anyway I was coming back from Toyota today and had one that I think had a CAI and a muffler. He keep flooring it at every light and looking over at me as if he was beating me (I was shifting around 3500rpm). Well at the next light I let him have it, we raced from 40mph to 70, I had 4 cars on him by then. The next light I had stopped because it was red and he was still rolling when the light turned green we both floored it and by 75 I had about 5 cars on him, and I shifted at 5500rpm. WOW! Mac and iPhone/iPod help!

TcizzleO6 Smyrna Delaware, US Tire Changer	Raced my buddy in his srt4 neon today. I got good launch so i got him off the line by about 2 cars.I stayed in front of him up to about 65 then he just rolled by me. Even tho i lost i was happy i stayed in front for as long as i did.

He must have been playin wit you, or he couldnt drive. With you bein basically stock. He should rolled you from start to finish. cuz 1, they are about the same weight as our cars, 2 has about a tc in a half torque ( meaning he has all of what you have and half of another tc) then their torque comes in at 2,200 RPMS. He should give me his SRT-4 cuz he dont know what he doin wit it. Was he stock? A car is only as good as it's driver.

TcizzleO6 Smyrna Delaware, US Tire Changer	Yea its a bone stock srt4, with a shitty driver. I got a few more things done to the tc then i have listed but i know im not on the same level of that srt4. But when we went to the track his fastest run was a 14.5 and his slowest was a 16.3. I blamed it on his horible drving, but he says its cuz he is only runnin around 8 pounds of boost. prolly just a combo of both..
