I had a run in with the 90's VR6, they are about as quick as a tC, if you are modified with intake and exhaust it should be a drivers race

they weigh about 2800 lbs

the base line rsx only came with 155hp. but they have less tq than our cars.

Car is being put on hold until further notice. Work will continue pending on if i get the new toy i want or not. I will keep you all posted.

UPDATE ON THE TUNE. It went ok but a few little issues that are causing my performance to be less than expected have shown themselves. Now I have to resolve them when I get the chance and it will be back to PTuning for the finishing touches.

I stop listening to all those specs. I just wait for those cars on the road and test them there.

I have...and won, but not by much... only a couple cars, and we didn't start perfectly side by side.

Yeah. They are pretty fun to run but around 3rd-4th my car pulls away a good bit. At around 1/4 mile..ish.. I'm about 1 car in front of them. So, it's not a kill...more like just a win.

GS-Rs are quicker, those cars are smaller and lighter. Type Rs will just rape you unless you have done work to your tC.

RSX-S, GT-S and all these cars people compare the tC too in terms of performance don't care about size. The tC has much more interior room then all of them, Yet because the tC has 2 doors everyone believes it should weigh 2,500 lbs.

The RSX-S isn't even much lighter than the scion tC

I raced an 89 rx-7 gtu. , but he prolly wasn't a very good driver, because i would think that he could blow my doors off.

RX-8 from 3rd gear double clutch at 60mph and pulled up to 115. His 2 buddies in the car were laughing at him

Well after reading (I do that sometimes), I will be going down and putting the smack down on $25k+ vehicles.

The tC is by no means a fast car, or a quick one. However, if you put the time, effort and money into any vehicle, you can make it fast.

an 8th gen SI is a quick car compared to a stock tC.

But tons of SI's with no more mods than I/H/E (about 90% of all civic SI owners have nothing more than those mods) think they can take any srt-4 any day of the week and a 350z twice on sunday.

Wich is fine and dandy(not true, but fine and dandy), but they do not give credit to anything or anyone else.

I have put some effort in my car and although I can not keep up with many vehicles. I know I can do more than keep up with a 8th gen SI.

P.S. sorry for the long rant, but I can't stand it when people don't give credit where credit is due. Not to tC's, but to the people who put the effort into tuning.

^Agreed. If you can't give credit to a Civic that spanks you, or to a Cobalt that you pull on a bit, then there's no racing. Just always have to accept a loss or gracefully take a win.

I smerk at those who think so much of themselves that they won't acknowledge the other driver's time and effort. Just goes to show the true person you are.

As Mike Tomlin stated... "You show me a 'good' loser, and i'll show you a loser"

You gotta give credit where credit is due, but that doesn't mean you have to be OK with it.

I'm sorry but there is a difference between being a loser and a D!ck.

Like all the guys who lose to srt-4s in thier camaros, chargers whatever and then the driver says "It's still a neon."

You don't have to like losing, but don't bash the guy for doing a good job with his car.

oops. sorry going off topic.

Anywho, my first victim will probably be a v6 tiburon (there are a lot of those around her for some reason, and i forsee NO problem... unless he has an alpine s/c or whatever)

a supercharged v6 tibby will destroy a trd supercharged tc with minor mods...if the tibby is n/a, its a drivers race with a stock tc, from what ive heard
