Depends on the turbo. Those cars are over 200 WHP stock. Remember that's to the ground. I've seen them hit 14.2 bone stock with temp plates at the track. Most turbo kits get the tC to 200 HP, but is that crank or wheel? There's so much that depends on the drivers also.

It that why all the redline and cobalt owners are so cocky. They say they can take evos and stis stock

hopefully those "connections" are at least a stage 0 turbo, otherwise SRT-4s and GTI (2005-2007) will keep stomping you

Bolt ons wont cut it at all. You're gonna need to do some major modification to hold againt those new GTIs.

edit: damn, Orin beat me.

It that why all the redline and cobalt owners are so cocky. They say they can take evos and stis stock

And that is why I have no faith whatsoever in road racing 'kills.' I think that it's the dumbest thing on earth to brag about. I'm sure my car has been victim of being 'killed' in a road race lots of times because I don't road race. Real racers take it to the track and talk about times, we're not interested in doing 140 down the innerstate trying to beat someone. It's unsafe and aganist the law. A real race starts at ZERO, not 20 or 40 or 60. It starts with that green light hitting the bottom of the tree, not someone honking the third time. What are you going to do when a schoolbus pulls out in front of you? I know a guy in jail for 2nd degree MURDER for road racing. 20 yrs old and his life is over. Imagine waking up everyday knowing that you not only killed someone's grandmother, but also can never get that off of every job application you fill out.

Every car owner is cocky. You can find someone who will say they can/have beaten ANYTHING. Show me a slip and I'll believe it. This guy is a great example of why I don't like this type of thread. Now he's talking about heavily modifing his car and crushing stock cars like he's the greates, yet I get called cocky because I mention the power of the cars that he's trying to run aganist? C'mon that's stupid. Maybe if I came out and said he can run me and I'll give him a car length to start (which I will) then you could call me cocky. I've been nothing but polite on these forums and given help to whomever I can. I don't think your comment was completly uncalled for.

you have a point, but your assuming that ALL STREET RACING KILLS...no, there are alot of idiots that cant handle their cars power, its like saying drinking kills, driving kills eating kills (technically everything kills you cause we all die, but neways) you cant base certain events and assume its always like that, its just a hobby for some, and life for others but newho what MrScion07 said...back on topic...

Last Saturday at D.P.A which is a place where many different kids meet up to show off there cars and race. Anyway, I was doing a couple of laps up and down the road to try and find some civics or something to mess with and while im cruising a 2004 sentra se-r blew by me. He slows down to let me catch up with him and we line up and went from a 20mph role. I destroyed him. I just kept going and he was at leat 5 car lengths back when i slowed down to talk to him. We met up in the parking lot where everyone hangs out with their cars and he showed me and my friends what he had down and it turned out he had an i/e. So tomorrow night its back to D.P.A. Anyone one long island should go. Everyone meets up there at around 11pm.

today I had a run in with a red badged Acura Integra, looked like a 2002 model

the car had a matt black paint job, red badged and black aftermarket rims with a red lip

I wasn't trying to race, more like trying to pass as I speed up to go past him, he speed up as well and it became a chase on this straight road with a 55 mph speed limit

I was high rpm in 4th gear and gaining very slowly, but not enough to call it anything

he hit his brakes to shut it down and so did I, I was unable to pass and I'd call that a loss

edit
I think he added the red badges himself, but he was still fast at high speed

alright so i got a new one today...im pretty sure the person couldnt drive because to me it seems like id have lost miserably. I was at a light and waiting to turn left onto a 2 lane road and i had this BMW Z3 behind me. It was the 4 cylinder motor in it. So i went around the corner and into the far lane and he pulled up beside me looked over and then gunned it. I had a feeling he might do that so i kept it in 2nd gear around the corner and then nailed it right after he did, about halfway through 3rd gear we were neck and neck and as i shifted into 4th i was starting to pull. I got about half a car length and then let off because of traffic...when he came up beside me again he looked over, smiled and gave me a nod and then took off. It felt pretty good lol. The best part was the fact that my dad was on his way home from work and waiting at the light to go straight where i turned.

When he got home right after me he goes...BRENT! i have something we need to talk about...and i was thinking oh no he did see me im gonna get grounded but then he said "so did you catch the beamer ??" and then he started laughing and i told him that i did. He thought it was funny but my mom was a bit aggravated. All in all im suprised that i won

so my friend Robin and I were out messin around tonight, shes got a white 07 auto tC(her username on here is tcgurl101) and shes got full catback exhaust and we decided to run from a roll of 40 MPH at this light up to a bridge that crosses the interstate because its exactly 1/4 mile from the light to the bridge. I really love my CAI now because i realise just how helpful it is lol she got the jump on me but i still pulled even very easily and continued to pull past her. It was alot of fun lol

It might also help that you have a manual, haha. But nice job.

I raced a fellow automatic tc with a TRD exhaust. I won by about a car length. We raced from a dead stop and from a 30 mph role.

I got to enjoy a little race tonight. It was probably my first real race.

So, my friend and I were bored so we said screw it let's go driving (1:00am). We are driving and not having any luck finding anybody, and then we see a '99 civic ex with some aftermarket tail lights sitting in front of Martin's (24hr grocery store). We went in to grab some food and he was still outside. I pulled my car up and asked the kid if he wanted to race. His exact words were "Ya'll don't want none this." We lined up at the end of the parking lot and estimated a 1/4 mile distance. We did the typical 3 honks from start. He blew me away off the line... horrible reaction time on my part and I was the one doing the honks haha. I caught him and then missed second. Had to play catch up the entire race and ended up being a dead tie. I asked him if he wanted to race again and he said "sure," but his girlfriend came out of Martins and said "I don't think so" (it was her car). We chatted for a minute. His first words were "what kind of car is that?" I laughed and said "a tC." He then asked me what I had and I just said "intake, shortshifter, and axelback exhaust." It was cool though, no trash talk or anything like that and he realized I would have beaten him given another chance to correct my errors.

I'm not the professional driver I thought I was, but it was definitely fun doing it on private property haha. Oh yea we had the whole Martin's night shift crew watching, it was cool haha.

Wow that sounds intense! What did the Civic have besides tails?

I'll keep the LONG story short. Last week i raced, on seperate days, a firebird V6 and a Trailblazer ?? V6 ?? The firebird wasn't even a challenge( those V6 birds are slooow) but the TrailBlazer was a little faster, but it wasn't really a challenge either, I think they have a low speed limiter so i was just cruisin right past him.

Oh and BTW... I saw the same Firebird this morning, that's what made me think to right this, and he didn't want none this time, i even kinda taunted him a little, not the asshole kind of taunting, just enough for him to know. But he was a no-go

I don't like to fight, but i ain't scared to bleed..... Most don't mess with a guy like me- Eric Church

Been wanting to race my co-worker's brothers Mazda 626 hatchback. It's decked out with a bodykit and dual exhaust with a sound system and lights everywhere. He says that he's beaten 240s, supras, and that he's hitting 15's flat at the 1/4.. So yea.. I wanna see if he's really telling the truth He may have a slight advantage with my motor running rich with my missing o2 sensor
