Raced a 98 Dodge 1500 Magnum V8 (5.9). He was lifted and what not and he kept pacing me and barking his duals at me. So, I downshifted into 3rd and as I did, he floored it in his automatic........hahahahahhaa, I passed him and as I hit 4th, I kept pulling and ended up getting him by about 1.5 lengths at the 5th mark. Not sure why he ran me but then he came up on my ass with all 3 PAIRS of fog lights...hahahaha....and kept jumping his truck near my a**. All good bud, hit me. I'll take your truck and your dog and you'll just go home to sing a country song about it.

Damn rednecks....I swear, some are ok, but those that think their heavy a** V8 with no work done to it but exhaust can beat street cars are tards. I guess he couldn't hack it in the mud with his BF Goodrich A/T tires..haha, a joke of the mudding world.....so he had to try his luck on the street.

another nite of fun...was heading back from the "strip" where all hooked up cars go to show off wat they got and just chilll by the water.....so i was driving my MR2 wit my friend christine.....

this dude in a stick vw jetta, exhaust, maybe intake..blue lights inside, system, this guy was really into his car....he revs at the light so i rev back....he takes off and chirps into second but i didnt start racing him cause to many cops in that area....

stay wit him till the highway, once he gets on the highway he throws on his hazards...by request from my friend and my own competitive side i took off right behind him....

ROUND 1
paced with him till like 110, was just stayin behind him while he tried to get away from me, so i started to pull up on him, once he saw i was going by him he just hit the brake to get behind me

Round 2
Let him take off again and i just stayed with him....got tired of following him so i made a few moves and was gone....shut it down after i couldnt see his headlights nemore...he finally caught up...paced next to me...looked over and gave me the head nod.....was great cause i was chilling wit the t-tops and my friend after i jsut made him look badddd

Beat a Ford 500. He was pissed cuz i passed him on the highway while he was stuck behind a semi. So out of the corner of my eye in my rear view mirror, I saw him swerve over and start flooring it to catch up… Just as he got to my side window I floored it too and started pulling away instantly, man was he pissed, I have never seen a mean mug like that, lol. I would say we started at about 70 (when he was beside me) and finished at 110, and I had about 1.5 car lengths on him. But after I let up, he didn’t, maybe he was embarrassed?? And It was funny because just as I let up, we were coming up on a SVT focus, which I see almost everyday and sometimes race if there’s no traffic. The Focus took pursuit after the 500 passed him, lol. But then they started being stupid morons and racing in traffic and swerving between cars. I just watched hoping they didn't end up on the news that night, or any other innocent drivers either for that matter

Oh and about that focus SVT that I occasionally race. To this day he has never technically beat me!! He just never gives up, he’ll do 100 mph through rush hour traffic to get away and “feel” like he’s won.

The SVT Focus and the Cobalt SS N/A are the only two cars i have ever raced that i had to go balls out to beat, but i did beat them both.

He must have forgot to put it back into gear even after missing.............but also it depends on how far the "race" was............if it's light to light, a mis shift in any car can be a "win" for the other.

Even misshifting in that car, you double clutch to rev match and jump back into gear and pull.....he should have still walked you with missing 2nd and maybe 3rd. 1/4 mile race he would have done so, or at least run you down just before the trap.

Hey Web, what kind of mods you think a stock tC would need to beat those V8s? I mean minimum amounts of mods on the tC?

Got a story of my own. At a red light, and a green/blue Ford expedition was next to me. So the dude honked and made a face with his tongue at me. I was chillin with my cousin, and were both a little confused like "you know that guy?".

Anyway, the light turned green, and the expedition floored it. And I thought "ohh, thats what he wants" haha. By this time I had just put it in third, so I put it back down to 2nd and floored it. I swear it was like Emeril, BAM, I pulled ahead of him in a matter of seconds. The dude did not look happy. He came in to my lane, but never caught up. Haha, and I barely 10mph above the speed limit, wouldn't even call it a race.

For the one I raced, you'd need an intake, full exhaust and maybe just a short shifter..............

Suspension would help but for that truck, it was over as soon as i down shifted.

Best story of all time ... I sorta beat a Porsche Cayanne S turbo with...get this, a 1990 Geo Prizm...

I had a shortram with pacesetter headers and a custom 2.5 inch pipe exhaust and a 3" muffler. I was running down the Jerzee turnpike and the porsche comes up hard behind me and starts flashing his high beams mind you we are goin 85 in the left lane. I get over as soon as i can and cut behind him real tight and start flashing my Silverstar high beams. He got over and wanted to get behind me again so as he got over i floored it i was goin well over 100 im sure ...(prizms speedo's top out at 85 so i couldn't give you an exact number) i see 2 trucks in the middle lane and a 3rd laggin but keeping up in the far right lane up ahead so i did sum fast and furious driving and cut in between the two trucks it was a pretty tight squeeze and went straight to the far right... the 3 LANE SWITCH!!! I think the guy in the porsche was too scared to try the cut and his exit was coming up so he slowed down and went behind the truck that was behind me!

and that my friends is how a 1990 Geo Prizm beats out a Porsche Cayanne

haha, that's how a Prizm gets out of the way of a Porsche is more like it. That's no race....you just tucked in a spot that he's not gonna risk his time trying to fit in with his expensive truck.

Should have found a clear section of traffic and seen what could have happened.

F&F references are immediate verbiage for BS "racing."

I didnt just sit there and wait it out i kept on speeding but his exit was comin up so he couldn't play anymore.

I think it's a different style of racing... cuz traffic is a factor... so actual driving skill is tested more than just putting in lots of money and wrenchtime to a car and draggin it straight away ... probably another bad reference but its more Need for Speed-ish

so i raced the new si last night on my way home from my gf's house. i was basically in the middle of no where, or it felt like that because it was so late. so im stopped at a streetlight which is not timed which pissed me off because i was sitting there forever. then in my rearview i see headlights from a distance. i wait and of course the light still hasnt turned and a blue 2dr civic pulls up next to me with 3 people. i just assume its like an ex because i cant see cause its too dark, but these were some kids so i figured they would want to race. so when the light turns green i wait to hear if they want to race and i hear their engine rev so i floor it. it sounded stock to me and off the line i pulled it so i could see it barely in the rear view. then i shift to third and im like wtf why am i not pulling on an ex or dx or whatever civic. so i then mis shift 4th and then i remember(duh) that i have a huge crack in my window and for fear of it breaking and because i already messed up i just shift to fifth and let off the gas. the civic keeps going and i see the little vtec and si symbols. well the civic keeps accelerating for like a mile after i stopped and i figured that i did alright, probably because their car had 3 guys in it and i was alone. but i didnt get to talk to the civic guy because he sped away but it was a good race while it lasted.

Yeah...............if you race someone, at least (win or lose) you should stop and talk to them at the next stop or something. Just to be friendly and have no animocity against them. I do all the time and it's funny when I win....they don't seem to want to talk.

I tried talking to the guy in the modded tl at the stop light after we went and he outright just ignored me. Punks who think they are high class >

In reference to anyone thinking to race a Porsche Cayenne Turbo S....

Don't.

It may weigh 5,000 lbs, but it also has twin turbo and 500+ hp.
